Worst off has got to be their nagging at everyone to use the name they've got linked to their google account instead of their username. So much this. I don't mind sharing my name around (mainly because I started doing digital art/commissions using my name, and I feel there's no point turning back now), but if I've made a username for something, I want to keep my username. No one forces musicians with stage names to go by their real name--it's all in the same category. YouTube, you're giving me hives.

I just want the site to be functioning properly again. It used to be so much easier to get the exact search results I wanted. Nowadays, I find myself watching less videos on the site than ever before unless I'm linked to said videos directly.

I'm still in the process of figuring out what to do next with my own channel. I'm severely lacking in friends who know more about musicals than I do, which means much less exposure to the show tune pool than two years ago. And the worst part's gotta be dealing with flaky actors. I'd have had a video out six months ago if my actors hadn't flaked on me. What I really need is a concept I can record on my own.

I wish I knew how to draw and animate, my old youtube channel that got deleted had 9 views in 5 years but my one video that had previews for the game "bully" got over 20,000 views. Youtube will just keep changing though, and the new google plus which is being pushed everywhere will keep messing with us too.

I have two YouTube channels, one for my music and the other for my crappy, nonsensical vlogs that no one looks at. I want to do animation, but I'll need a computer that actually outputs stuff correctly. Everything I output right now becomes really choppy.
I've also been wanting to do Let's Plays for years, though my vigor about it has lessened due to how many people are doing it these days. It's kind of been stretched thin. Not to mention the amount of horror LPers there are, since that's what I'd been planning since, like...2008. Before most people even knew what a LP was (I'm so hipster). Sad how that works, but meh...Might be worth it if I did horror game reviews as well, though, which is something else I'd been hoping to do for a while.

How about you promote yourself somehow? You could always show off your singing voice more, even if it's not Mega Man Legends related. Then again, I will say that it's best not to force it until the inspiration strikes... even though you probably already know that since you're more of an entertainer than I am. I somehow became the dude that mostly plays Mega Man even though I love the Mario series much more. Go figure. Might change things up after I finish Mega Man & Bass. Speaking of that, I ran into some stumbling blocks on speaking again in recent videos. I seem to put way too much pressure on myself to record the lines perfectly without a script. I finally put down some bullet notes on some areas and found myself making progress today. Six more videos to talk over, and I want that number halved by the end of the weekend.

I think I want to focus on storytelling for now. Finding the right song is the hardest part, without question, and if my storytelling skills aren't up to par, I definitely want to work on refining them because that's an important thing to be able to do if you want to direct ANYTHING. I say just write a full script and run with it. I'm an okay adlibber, but my cold-reads are out of this world. Out of this world to the point where it's physically painful for me to listen to most people reading a speech off of a piece of paper because most people can't just look at a bunch of words and figure out how to say it like they mean it the first time. Since you're on Youtube, it shouldn't matter how many times you practice the speech anyway, because we'll never see that.

When you mean storytelling by song, do you mean something like the "It's Cold Outside" thing you did? Ah, this is where if I had any drama experience, I could give you some advice, but I'm at a loss here. Bummer!
Yeah, it really is a case of practice making perfect. I got out of rhythm since I stayed away from it for awhile since I underestimated the workload involved in this particular series (One playthrough with text, the playthrough with talking, and then doing the long sidequest because I must show off everything). I'll be honest, I don't like scripts myself even if it might be scripted in my head. I just say it in a slightly different way than it is in my head. The best results I find are when I sit down, close my eyes for a few moments, and then try to get it rolling.

Nah, I mean just working on narrative anecdotes. Like explaining the whole Backstreet Boys thing. I've had to retell the Backstreet Boys story a dozen times just on this forum alone. It'd be nice if I could point everyone to a video when I casually mention my constant association of Legends 1 with their Millennium album.

Good luck, Dashe! I love everything you have up already, so it'd be awesome to see more. /closet fanboy
So, has anyone ever experienced extreme heat, worthy of heatstroke, while simultaneously staring at a lightning storm raging outside? I experienced that for multiple days on end this past week, and it felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. And even if I went outside to try and cool off in the rain, the rain was warm itself. Why do you do silly things, Mother Nature? Maybe that's just how things are outside of California and I was living in the Twilight Zone before I moved. Yes, that must be it.

You should totally do an animation of Tron having a dream about a group of Volnutt's serenading her with Quit Playing Games (With My Heart).
Actually! Scratch that. Have a group of Teisel's do it in a POV video. You can end things with a very confused and hysterical Volnutt waking up in a cold sweat!

Can't say I've had that reaction to a storm, Foetus. I'd like another storm, though.
Oh, and Bean, I'm not storytelling by song at all. Just the regular kind. I don't even know where you got the "song" idea from in the first place. I don't know enough people who like musicals more than I do to get new songs anyway. So no, music isn't involved. I don't know why I missed that the first time.
I'll be satisfied if I can get two videos out by the time Handlebar puts his slow-ass animation up. I'm pretty convinced this isn't a tortoise and hare situation. I just need Mr. Ninja to show up and say some crap.

It's cool. I'm not sure if Mr. Ninja's going to spend the night for Father's Day this weekend or not, but I could definitely go for a 1AM recording session. It's probably the only time of day I can be guaranteed my dad won't make a bunch of noise and screw it up.
Interestingly enough, my sister actually agreed to do some minor voiceover. We'll, uh, see how that goes.
