REACH OUT! REACH OUT TO THE TRUTH! NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE IN! With every second that ticks down on the clock, with every revolution of the spiral we grow stronger, better than the us a moment before! That's how a drill works! Strive for your next breath! For you know who you are! You have been Roland, Beowulf, Achilles, David, Gilgamesh! You have been a thousand names and will be a thousand more before the world grows dark and cold! Fight for what you believe in, for that's the way you're to live your life from now on! REACH OUT TO THE TRUTH! Oh, and happy April Fools day, everyone.

Happy April Fool's Day to you too, Fatman!
My computer just pulled a major prank on me, actually. It ran out of battery power, then rebooted to System Repair for about an hour. I'm going to update my backup hard drive just in case.

My April Fools' Day joke was playing the Bandai Wonderswan Mega Man & Bass sequel with some misinformation. It wasn't like the Mega Man 4 - Road of Life one, but I liked this one all the same. I'm much better at speaking than I used to be, that's for sure.

Fatman X. Jones : D-did you just make a bunch of Marathon references? It's been a while since I've played, but I think you did. Also, what if I don't wanna Reach Out To The Truth? The Fog is where it's at.

Well, I don't use a cheap 'Smash'-y knockoff of the Marathon logo for just ANYTHING, Kyle, so yeah, there was some Marathon in that spiel. I think Durandal's rubbing off on me.

You suuuuure? 'Cause to be perfectly fair, your avatar isn't a 'knockoff of the Marathon logo'.

And lo, the dinner has passed unto the nether planes, surely to be heard from again within the coming hours like a beast awaiting its prey's final descent into the sweet, eternal embrace of death...Suffices to say, if scientists were to put the essence of Taco Bell and peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches into a beaker, they would produce a most ghastly creature, capable of rending the stomach into a shriveling hunk of screeching jerky. Yes, I dare say, grave mistakes were made this night in the name of lethargy and the inability to correlate the contents of my cabinets in order to produce a healthier meal. Tums? Hah! Be you mad? There are no Tums here. There is only death and the hope that my fate will fall upon me in the swiftest of motions.
I can see it now, the lavatory door...It beckons to me. It calls...I pray to all things holy and unholy that there is air freshener. For I cannot say what will befall the next traveler...

I have no need to ever obtain a new video game again for the rest of my life. I counted the games I have sitting around just at this property alone and it's pretty close to a hundred. I don't even know where half of these came from because I stopped buying them myself sometime around 2006 or 2007. If every game I owned had exactly 40 hours of gameplay, and I were instantly amazing at all of them and never got stuck, it would still take me half a year of literally nonstop gaming to get through all of them.
And I didn't even count anything downloaded onto any of the computers. I think I need to start outsourcing.

I forget that sometimes that just because people are fans of one series, like you are with Legends, that doesn't mean that everyone plays games quite a bit. I'm into a lot of shorter games myself nowadays since I just don't find myself with all that much free time. Although when you have a brother that collects video games, it's kind of tough not to play them sometimes.
Looking at the list we have, it's 736 games now to be exact, and that's not including downloadable titles on some of the newer systems. I'm sure that pushes us closer to the 800 mark. In fact, I just played one of those games, HarmoKnight on the 3DS. I actually think you might like that one since it's a rhythm-based platformer.

Owning too many unfinished games is just suicidal. Never acquire more than one at a single time, or you'll never manage to finish them all. Whenever I purchase a game, I tend to play the thing to death until I can 100% it. (With some exceptions) If you throw a second game into the equation, it tends to get completely ignored until I've finished up with the previous one. Speaking of which, I made that mistake when I bought my 3DS. Got five games with it and I've only completed one of them in the span of three months, which is pathetic for my standards of gaming.

There are moments when I end up getting multiple games thrust upon me in the same day. I think buying me video games must be my family's de facto go-to gift when it comes to holidays and stuff, like how some people always wind up getting soap or earrings or ties. At least they tend to increase in value if you keep them in good shape for long enough. I don't think you can say the same about ties.

I don't care much about 100%ing a game before moving on to the next one. As long as I've beaten the last boss, that's good enough for me.
I won't be doing much gaming for awhile (unless you count freeware downloadable stuff, which I LOVE), since our 360 just got stolen (within a week of sending it down to my little brother until summer, his place got broken into and they stole everything valuable). I wouldn't mind so much, except our memory stick with all our saves was there (and no XBLive), and we'd finally gotten an XBox that didn't red-ring within 3 weeks.
My sister has a Wii with Just Dance 4, but... that's no exactly my cup. Gallop and Ride is pretty fun, though.

I think buying me video games must be my family's de facto go-to gift when it comes to holidays and stuff, like how some people always wind up getting soap or earrings or ties. At least they tend to increase in value if you keep them in good shape for long enough. I wish I was given games as presents for holidays/birthdays. My family's "de facto go-to" gift is money. Sure, I can buy videogames with that. I can even choose what games to buy. However, the childhood magic of expecting a nice surprise is lost and I feel that my family doesn't even try to think about what I would like, as if they weren't even trying. Sometimes they ask me what I want instead of giving me the money directly. That's nicer, but it's still not the same. The nearest thing to a good ol' gift is when I mention something really expensive at some point, something I won't clearly buy for myself or would be obvious if I already did at some point, and then have the person buy it for me months later without telling me. Well, in retrospect there is a nice, nostalgic surprise in that. However, these events rarely happen. Also, if you want your games to increase in value then don't open them at all. It might be incredibly obvious, but some people get too excited and open their games once they receive it. Even worse, sometimes they never play it or do it in a year+. I may literally have over a 2000 games in my library (I stopped counting at some point. And yes, I have a problem.) with 35% of them being unplayed (Plus around 25% played but unfinished), but at least I don't open my games until I decide to play them. Doing that I was able to transform games I bought on retail into rare, unopened gems. (And I re-bought the ones i wanted to play used at a cheaper price.) P.S. Most non-RPG, completable, games nowadays last 6-8 hours without 100 completion. Back in the day I was able to play up to 8 games at a time. Sure, I had to alternate between playing each game daily or up to three different games per day, but I was able to play them all without losing focus on the story and necessary physics/combo knowledge if needed. While progress was slow, a quick set of days would arrive where I would start beating all of the games. Beating 8 final bosses and watching 8 endings in the span of 2-3 days after a weeks of playing was an amazing reward. However, with university and other stuff I can barely pull off 3 at the same time. 4 if one or two of them are pretty basic. (And if studies are too hard I'd even end up leaving a game unfinished half-way through.) Balancing games with studies, research addiction, leisure and other very important responsibilities I have is becoming difficult as of late, especially on these last two weeks where I have too many university projects being thrown down my throat. P.S. I stopped 100% completing games unless I really, really like the game or if it's very easy to complete. (Or both.)

Huh. Buying games and not opening them...that would involve my brother not noticing there was a new video game. I actually tried that with Mega Man Battle Network 6, but he took an X-acto knife and cut a slit along the top of the shrink wrap so he could get the game out and have the box still look like it was actually in the shrink wrap. I mean, this is the ONLY lame thing my brother's done since I stopped liking them. Still. Lame.
So, uh, wanna trade? I'd use that money and buy myself a nice suit and a haircut.
