Yeah, my grandmother's dog had to be euthanized after a stroke. The most devastating part is definitely the aftermath. Heck, she wasn't even my dog and I felt absolutely miserable. It's something you wouldn't want any owner to experience.
I wish Dobie a gentle and speedy recovery, Fatman.

Thank you all. He's recovered nicely, and is running around playing with my sister's dog Leigha as if nothing had happened. It really had me scared, and I think it was a sign I need to spend more time with him, which I'm doing now. I dunno what I'd do if I ever really lost Dobie.
So I ordered this plush from Amazon.com a few days ago, and it came in Friday: 16" Pokemon Stuffed Plush - Kyogre (by Banpresto)When I got him, he had the derpiest eyes: Luckily my mom helped me out by teaching me how to tack-sew where his eyes are supposed to meet his head, and with a bit of thread and a black sharpie marker, he's a normal god of the seas again.

I decided to be clever yesterday regarding a couple of huge Apple-logo stickers that my sister gave me. i.imgur.com/UI4cHAO.jpgCaption's over-exaggerated at this point. if memory serves, I said in iScribble once that I owned a Samsung Galaxy S5 and stuff.

Just got over the cold, a few days ago. Been slowly getting active here, but it's like I've become invisible, again...

Nobody's actually invisible here. Not even Bowen, though he seems to think he's fooling people with that.

Nobody's actually invisible here. I'm finding it quite easy- try and do something- no one will notice..

Do your somethings with confidence, not with ellipses at the end of your sentences! Exclamation points convey confidence and bravado! Channel your inner honey badger! Honey badgers eat cobras like badasses and don't give a shit!
But yeah, try typing your "notice me!" sentences with some oomph to them, instead of trailing off like... Posts ending in ellipses aren't tremendously attractive to people who spend so much time waiting... Antici...pation. The direct approach is awesome and I like using it directly. If what you really mean by this is "Someone for the love of god say nice things about my art!" then you should just skip the awkward dancing around it and say so straight up! Of course, if that's what you really mean, a lot of people will probably look at you funny because people post art on here all the time that nobody comments on. If what you really mean is "When I comment on things, nobody replies and I don't like it!" then that's just a thing that happens with MMLS in general. A lot of people here tend to let conversations just stagnate. I don't like that either.

Off the record, that's another thing- I feel like when I do comment on things, it feels like everyone leaves the room, like some kind of plague just set in. Though as you said- this thread seems to end up that way. The other things I do, however, end up buried under other things.

A lot of it is a confidence thing. Even if you're not confident at all, pretend to be confident and I can guarantee it that nobody will be able to tell it's fake on a board like this. For me, when someone makes a self-depreciating comment ending in ellipses, that makes me kind of go, "Bleh, someone wants attention. I'm not enthused." If, on the other hand, someone does something really huge and awesome like your 1000th post, I think stuff like "Wow, now THAT is how you get attention!" I haven't been posting too much lately because quite frankly I think I've made enough of them and I really miss having competition*, but nobody seems to be able to tell because everyone else still posts less frequently than I do. Most people, you'll find, don't actually go "Ugh, that's so Raven! I'm leaving!" the minute you speak up. That's just your jerk-brain being a jerk. Usually their reasons for not posting are totally self-centered. Since I can't read minds, I can't guess, but if I had to I'd say it's something like, "I don't know what to add to this conversation that hasn't already been said." If you'd like to try something different, like thinking of posts in terms of "Yes, and..." to help goad people into adding more after you, that'd be neat to try out. If you see ANY Mega Man Legends news at all, or even other kinds of Mega Man/Inafune news, if you report on it first, then you'll definitely get replies. Usually I have to make those posts because nobody else does and it's doing absolute wonders at keeping my post count way way way higher than anyone else's and out of the run for competitive eligibility. *Thank god Mumbo-Jumbo doesn't count!

It's kinda hard to have a positive mindset when people seem to ignore you, even at your best- one of the last works I did, I'm particularly proud of for having done a work that is both detailed, and doing something different, but with things like a ghost town, right now, it's like a tree falling into the woods: If no one's around, does it really make the thud? ...But I am thinking to do something a little different, if I can find enough material to get it afloat.

Different is always a good thing. When in doubt, the only thing you can really change up are the things that you do yourself. Trying to change other people rarely works out even if you use force and WMDs.
Oh hey, look, forum eggs came back last year and nobody noticed. I still have the graphic from that blue bird thing that hatched in 2006.

Forum eggs are still a thing? My god, it's like I'm back in the late 90's-early 2000s, where CSS hasn't even been heard of, and everyone's webpage is nothing but five miles of fifty-thousand-frame GIF animations bogging down a 56k modem with speeds that make you think the heat death of the universe is going to happen before you can click "Renew my AOL subscription". And you do so while you sit there on the equivalent of a modern-day Raspberry Pi, sucking down the horrible rotten milk from Packard Bell Navigator's misshapen third nipple while your computer blue-screens half the time for running out of memory on Windows 98 Second Edition because you're too much of a tryhard poser to admit BonziBuddy is turning your RAM into Swiss cheese and your hard drive into the single most dangerous piece of viral equipment the CIA would quarantine.
...Holy balls, that was salty. Actually, come to think of it, I kind of miss those old days. We made it work!

Watch it hatch into a ball of lint.

A ball of lint with giant bug-eyes, most likely. Either that, or a devastating draconian beast to help ensure your complete dominance over the realm.

So internet-eggs are kinda like Pokeballs waiting to be opened? Or perhaps a literal Pokemon egg the parents of which are unknown? I paid little attention to forums that long ago, so the comcept's new to me.
