Cosplay as a Rocket Grunt and demand they give you all of their Pokéballs. I would love to, but I feel ridiculously outnumbered (there were 600+ people in line at the checkout counter alone). HF, clearly you should go in and heal your Pokemon. That way, if you should happen to black out in the future, you will be spirited off safely to Tokyo no matter where you were before. This could be very very convenient if you get stuck overseas. That... is GENIUS. Or hey, I could just use FLY since visiting the place alone marks it as a checkpoint on my map, right? I recommend seeing if there's any blonde goth ladies named Cynthia near it. Or whatever her JP-name-equivilant is. There were an interesting number of non-Japanese fans at the site. I'll be heading there again a couple of hours before opening time (10:00) to see how things are. I brought my copy of Pokémon X, so I hope to get my shiny Charizard and Pikachu at the very least!

I could just use FLY since visiting the place alone marks it as a checkpoint on my map, right? Sure, but that doesn't help you if you get jumped or get into a fight, does it?

Sure, but that doesn't help you if you get jumped or get into a fight, does it? Ironically, Teleport works in about 100% jump cases but about 0% of the fight cases. Depends on how wild it is.

Look, this isn't Hoenn. Just visiting a place doesn't mean you can Fly or Soar there. You have to check the nearest location signboard first.

Edit: PHOTOS!Well, here are some of the spoils when I actually got into the Pokécenter earlier this morning (in addition to the shiny Charizard and Pikachu for my game)!

That Mudkipz is just a little too adorable.

The Lucario's base and pose make it look like it's snowboarding on a really tiny snowboard.

I just met my sister's boyfriend on Facebook. He's from another continent and apparently after less than half a year they're serious enough that she's dragging him halfway around the world for Christmas. He was actually cool, and by cool I mean a huge nerd. Now I'm REALLY wondering what he's doing dating someone like my sister.

My sister's boyfriend is surprisingly nice and pretty down-to-earth. She really seems to love him, and he's tempered her anger somewhat recently, so I'm glad she's happy. She's going to spend Christmas in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with him.
If you've never been to Gatlinburg, it's a very beautiful place in the Smoky Mountains. Very folksy tourist trap. They have some awesome Christmas festivities there; I'm jealous of her. (The farthest out of state I've ever chosen to go is Toledo, Ohio, and that wasn't exactly a choice.)

My fiancee wants me to take her to Gatlinburg. I wasn't so sure about it because her mom told her to go there So I guess you recommend it too?

Looking at the website, it seems to be a cutesy little town with woods and mountains that couples visit a lot. Sounds like the kind of place I'd try to turn into an RPG stopover village in a sketchbook until the people I was traveling with tell me to stop being so weird. It seems to be in a valley, so I'd assume it's that one town with the huge monster in the mountains that'll come down and raze the whole place down unless the citizens make a yearly virgin sacrifice to it until your party ends its reign of terror with an average boss fight at the top of the tallest peak, or somewhere in a cave.

I almost lost my dog Dobie tonight to a bad stroke. I'm thanking God that he didn't die from it and has made a seemingly full recovery. But I had a pretty bad scare from it tonight.
I wonder if God's trying to tell me something with that, because I was bawling my eyes out not to take my doggie. I've had him for seventeen years and I love him so much.

Oh man that's hard buddy. May your puppy have the longest life possible. I've never had pets (not my choice) but close relatives of mine have lost alot of good old dogs and it's always hard, even you don't own em.

Sorry to hear that, Fatman. My aunt lost her small dog to a seizure just 3 weeks back, and it's been rough for her, her family, and on another small dog in her family that was much older than the one that suffered the seizure... which makes it even more disheartening.
17 years is a long time though if that's in human years, so that's something to consider in itself. I wish you the best of luck with your dog though.
