Sounds like your move is kind of neato then, huh, Dashe? What is not neato is how YouTube is forcing the Google+ integration. It's implemented poorly in the sense that I can't have newest comments displayed by default, and what's worse is that now I can't even unmark comments that aren't spam, so they're stuck as spam. I do not like that much at all, nope. I loathe, LOATHE, how the entire internet is trying to be facebook now. I hate facebook. I Hate 'social networking.' I WANT MY ANONYMITY BACK DAMNIT.

Well, in other news, I just got hired as a web developer! Among other things, it was cool that my work on the Digger's Database caught the attention of the group that interviewed me. Today was a weird day. I moved on Monday, so yeah. That happened. It's only going to be for the month as far as I know, like a camp I get paid to go to. I got the room with the best internet in the house. So far it's felt more like being in a reality show than camp, though. At least the company pays for everything. On the flip side I think I have drawn more in the past two days than I have in the past two months. Yay! Is it one of those job training seminar dealies, or is it more of a casual thing? At least it's sponsored by your job, and you get to see something besides your usual work environment. Also, you post makes me wonder how MMLS would work as a reality show. XD Sounds like your move is kind of neato then, huh, Dashe? What is not neato is how YouTube is forcing the Google+ integration. I do not like that much at all, nope. Yeah, YouTube updates tend to be two steps backward, with a step forward occasionaly. Not only do they now have hashtag support (WHY?!), clicking a timestamp opens a new tab. Who greenlights this stuff?

I'm sick of the social networking boom, too. It's a personal safety thing, you know? Nearly every time I ban someone from MMLS I end up having to worry about the party in question attempting to do something to this place, but it would be hundreds of times worse if I had to link my real life stuff up to here, too. Then I'd be worried about banned members showing up at my doorstep with torches and pitchforks.
As far as the camp reality show, it's a job that includes lodging for as long as I'm on the project. I basically live at my workplace. Like a boarding school, but they pay me, so I guess it's closer to camp. I dunno, I've never actually been to a camp.
MMLS would probably not work as a reality show. There isn't enough diversity here, and nobody would contribute their thoughts. It'd probably just be "The Dashe and Kyle Show," and everyone else would just lock themselves in a room away from the camera crews.

Then I'd be worried about banned members showing up at my doorstep with torches and pitchforks. I like social networking to an extent. I'm fine with Facebook, as it's a great way for me to keep up with people that I no longer live in the same area with. Twitter, Instagram, and the like are more of a hit-or-miss for me, as I find them to be more shallow. What bugs me is the lack of optional anonymity. I don't need to have my real name attached to forums/U2B accounts, since that stuff is visible to the entire world. I don't have a lot to hide, but I still feel better knowing that my personal info isn't just...out there. I'm honestly not too worried about the potential scenario of a banned member showing up at my (or any of the mods') doorstep. Most of the people who are E-Thugs wouldn't back up the stuff they do online IRL. Granted, there are a few exceptions, but generally I don't worry too much about that, especially with this being such a niche corner of the web. @mmls Reality Show Yeah, I can't speak for everyone else, but as a guy who values his personal space, having someone with a camera follow me around all day would get old in around an hour, tops. Interacting with people wouldn't feel natural, as I'd have that "I'm being watched" feeling active all the time.

It's one thing to get me to come out of my shell to ham it up for a video or recording or two. It's another to have a camera crew on me. No thanks!

If I were on a reality show, I would be doing all sorts of weird stuff. I'd have a different personality every time I saw the camera. I would ALWAYS address the cameraman directly. Always. (they don't like it when you do that) I would make sure that none of my footage was ever useable. I'd wear infrared LEDs all over my body so the film would always have bright white spots all over it but no one would be able to see anything wrong with me by eye. If you put me in a reality show, you'll find out the truth about me: I don't like being watched, and I will actively screw with anyone who does. Also I'd leave everyone else alone. I'd make it a point to only interact with the film crew whenever they were around, and only interact with everyone else when no one was present.

Man, speaking of these social networking sites, I deactivated the Facebook account for the time being now that they've forced this "people can find you by name" thing. I suppose I should have used an alias or something. The idea of others I don't want bugging me being able to send a message my way if they know my real name? No thanks. There's a reason I kept to myself with my small circle of friends in the first place!

^ That's why I have two accounts, really. One with my real name for family and real-life friends, and another with my nickname (usually MegaTuga), for the people I know trough the internet and whatever. it's still a pain when you accidentally switch the passwords for each account ^^;

I'll just create a new google account every time I want to sign up for something... Like I used to do to dodge spam emails, but, you know... for things I actually use.

There's a reason I kept to myself with my small circle of friends in the first place! Unless you have a really distinct name, people will have a fairly difficult time trying to find you on social networking sites, especially Facebook. That said, I hate how Facebook is trying to integrate itself on so many other sites. Like, if you comment on some sites that have a Facebook plugin, pretty much all of your friends can see it. I'd rather keep my stuff separate between sites.

Youtube makes me rage so hard. They have now forced me to switch to google plus and use their new inefficient and crappy interfaces. I hope youtube eventually eats it and goes bankrupt because they're stupid and they're crazy and I hate them!

In the new weekend streams everyone seems to be streaming MegaMan X. And I...don't like MegaMan X. ...WHY CAN I NOT LIKE THINGS!? But I try to keep an open mind.
Also when it comes to the topic of social networking, I tend to stay away from it unless if it's like this. And by this I mean a forum of some sort where everyone has a common interest.

But I try to keep an open mind.Not sure if you happened to walk into one of my test streams or not since I was testing X4 earlier....Guarantee I wont be spamming just X games though in terms of streaming. It was just testing my computer's CPU usage with the games emulation alongside my streaming program. And in response towards the forced Google+ accounts...I don't like it. I had to delete my Google+ account from google several times before, and now your forcing it on me? Let alone I heard that putting a fake name can result in getting your account disabled...*grumble*. Guess I'll just ignore it's existence and allow it to collect dust on the google servers.

I miss youtube already. They were doing so well for a long time.... then google gave up on their "we want to leave youtube just the way it is" policy that they had when they bought it. I'd say its time to start snagging any YT video you like in permanent form.

I used to like Youtube. Still like a few guys' channels on there, admittedly, but the website's been stupid since the change to HTML5 players.
Now this G+ integration? That's backwards thinking. Absolutely ridiculous. Makes me wish Youtube would get rid of comments altogether; they don't help anything anymore.
