so... Cameos... who likes 'em? Who hates 'em? Who likes them but only with the stipulation that they stay in the background as easter eggs? So long as Gameplay (CAPITAL G!) isn't adversely affected, I'm all for it. For that reason I suppose I generally prefer them as easter eggs. Love what Blizzard usually does; Like the Tauren and Murlock space marines and Diablo in StarCraft 2.

I've always found it strange that when you give Roll the safety helmet (which is, judging bythe context of the game, an ordinary yellow hard hat) she makes a bright blue head-basket with metal and rivets and... glowing ear LEDs...? What part of that was the original helmet? I assume she always has some random other small spare parts to add onto the main parts you give her. She's also a fan of the Megaman games (which is technically...a historical video game series!?), apparently, so I assume that's where she got the idea from. Which is odd, since he had his helmet on when he was originally living on Elysium and Roll shouldn't have even known how it looked. Same goes for his armour, which I assume wasn't with him when he was reborn on Nino Island. Oh man, my brain hurts...Maybe Data gave her some pointers.

Ever notice that the Sulphur Bottom speech lists the Bonnes as one of the sponsors?
Next time you boot up MML2, check out the front of the stage, just under the podium.

You know, if you're talking about Legends stuff, you really ought to make a topic about it in the Legends sections instead of putting it in this thread where it'll just get buried. That's really the main part of the forum, and we're constantly running out of things to discuss there.

I hate 'em. Especially when you can't walk two steps without seeing one. Don't even get me started on crossovers. Which reminds me that I love the Mega Man x Sonic Archie comic crossover. It's just good fun between two of my favorite third-party franchises. Also, there was some relatively good news. Mega Man III-V on the Game Boy are finally going to see re-releases on the 3DS Virtual Console. That announcement comes two years to the day of Legends 3 getting canned, which still sucks, but at least I can finally purchase those three titles without paying a ton for them. There might be more goodness in store in forty minutes, but I won't get my hopes up too high here.

Well, like I said on Facebook, if Capcom announces a new Mega Man game that isn't so underdone that we're all wondering what Capcom's been on all these months, I'm going to epically embarrass myself on Youtube.

I'm just psyched about Earthbound getting a Virtual Console release on Wii U. I'm glad the series might finally get some serious recognition from the mainstream Nintendo player base, and not just be relegated to the cult series fans like it has been in the past. I joined the Earthbound fandom when the Mother 3 Fan Translation first came out, to be honest, but I'm glad I did. I love the series and what Itoi has done in its name.
Shigesato Itoi is one interesting man, that's for sure. (Seriously. Just buy one of his yearly planner notebooks, you'll see why.)

I should probably finish Mother 3. Oh, speaking of finishing things... *Runs over to the general gaming board, snickering diabolically.*

In other news, windows 7 hates tablets. ... Proper tablets, like for drawing and painting, not those giant phones that don't do telephony.

My last two times out for my mile run, I hit 7:56 and then 8:00 (to the exact hundredth!) tonight. Only the second and third times I've ever done so well, but my legs are totally sore right now. Ice bag time.

In other news, windows 7 hates tablets. Huh, in what way? :U I rebooted my computer and windows 7 completely replaced my properly installed official drivers with some crappy Microsoft 'catch-all' drivers that are actually for a mouse and only 'simulate' a tablet's functionality... meaning my tablet lost all its useful pressure and angle sensitivity... The same thing happened the first time I installed my tablet... So far the number of times I've had to reboot this PC, -just- for installing and uninstalling tablet drivers, is up to about 17... and that's only two cases of using my tablet. The bad thing is that it seems to be fickle like a tired kitten with the tablet drivers... I used them for a while without issue, then suddenly after a reboot I had to go through a 4 hour process of reinstalling the OEM drivers for the tablet. I say it took 4 hours, I should mention that they only take about 2-5 minutes to actually install... but there's a mandatory reboot after each install or uninstall of drivers... and you can't install drivers and uninstall drivers in a single reboot... meaning: Uninstall, reboot, Install, reboot, test, not working, rinse, repeat. It's working again now... but it really bothers me that windows 7 keeps trying to make my incredibly useful pen into a completely useless fake-mouse. I mention Win 7 specifically... because I had no issues with this tablet on XP. EDIT: Ahem, and also the Win7 and graphics fora were all chock-full of threads about Windows 7 doing this very same thing.

I've had my share of tablet problems on XP (something similar where the stylus loses pressure/tilt, but it also works at a different screen resolution where it stays in a boxed in area in the upper-left area of the screen), but I've never had to restart or anything. Was actually gonna be transferring to Win7 once I got a new computer, but now I'm kind of worried. Still gonna end up going Win7, though, because XP just isn't cutting it anymore. So I'll just have to see how things go.
