Oh, I am quite on the edge of psychotic break, believe me. I am currently considering erasing all of carbon civilization if this issue is not rectified shortly. Then there would be no issue of inability to communicate, as there would no longer be communications to be had.

So yeah. Today's Windows Update thoroughly killed my networked drives and Skype messaging. I am quite furious, if it isn't been shown by my demeanor.

Well I'm not that much of a artist But I think it would be kool the after going through a ruin and get what your after but wait no boss??? and as u leave the ruin the ruin entrance itself actives and it a reverbot boss that u have to defeat lol l8er if u want to go back to the ruin there is a hole in the ground to get up ^^ the Girlfriend is the artist ill see what she can come up with I apologize ahead of time if conversing a little bit is bad for this topic, but I just have to say... That is a pretty cool idea, and it sort of fits with the Legends "What, no catastrophic security alarm--oh.. theeeere it is." cliche.

I just think at this point they should recreate the first 2 games from the ground up (add in some more things here and there (don't ask me what I'm just saying), update the graphics, gameplay, new voice actors, etc) and get some new sales data. They always bring up how it wasn't a huge seller but this is from a console 3 generations back, i don't think there were as many hard core gamers as there is now. Plus we have the internet where word travels quicker and such. People hear about things. Capcom needs to stop looking at old sales data and get some new data. Wasn't that darn internet survey supposed to help with that? I find it sad that Legends was the 3rd version of Mega Man but even to this day it doesn't get as much attention as the other series do. This is the sort of thing that typically kills a series. Remakes always alienate people in the end. Tension is then created between the fans who liked the original and those who like the new. Remakes are never faithful to the original. I'd like to see the original games exactly as they are, -maybe- with new graphics... but even then, considering Capcom's track record for ruining things I once liked, I'm pretty sure they'd screw up the graphics. I mean, they couldn't even keep MML1 and 2 consistent. To be quite honest, I don't think I could play a remake if it didn't have what I expected. For another example, MML1 had excellent jumping physics that were about as good as they could be. MML2 had ok jumping physics compared to a lot of games, but I found myself cheating consistently just to avoid having to deal with the badness of it, because it was actually mandatory in MML2 and they were much less precise and controllable. If MML1 had had MML2's jumping, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much... and I'm quite certain that was the type of jump they had intended it to have, but failed to create the first time. Now imagine, if they used new physics and animations on everything, which I can 100% guarantee would be different in both look and feel, would it still be the same game? To give an example of another game that was created specifically to pander to both the old fans and create new ones... Sonic Generations. They tweaked and tweaked for ages on the engine, and in the end, the final product was still nothing like the games they had been trying to mimic. The fact is, there will never be a remake that is as good as MML was and still is. They can only do worse than they had before. There will be a few rabid love-it-because-they-have-nothing-better fans... in fact a large portion of the target market today is people who don't know just how bad their games are in comparison to others. Its why we see so many stale cookie cutter games that have nothing new or interesting in them whatsoever... and also why so many games seem to be focused solely on graphics... I have no doubt that any Legends remake would be like a rose... nice to look at, but not much fun to play with or talk about. Looking at it from a realistic standpoint, it will be another ten years before Legends is even considered for revisit, and by then Capcom will not care about the fans that want it even in the slightest, because they will all be older than 25. As it stands, 25 is pushing it for the target market anyway, because adults sometimes have a tendency to actually think about things. That's bad for business. What you want is morons. Since pandering to the stupid and mentally infirmed is frowned upon, the best they can do is market to teenagers, the next closest market. You know those really annoying youtube flame wars about which is better, halo-clone or call of modern generic war story? That's the target market. They buy games, unquestioningly. To be direct: True fans are not a good business venture for Capcom.(Inafune-san has stated this in a roundabout way a few times, as the reason they weren't making another Legends game.)

If it was just a un-helmeted version of Megaman I think it would be universally praised and give people some hope that maybe they will do something with him in the future. I think the MvC3 problem was that it seemed to be making fun of Volnutt's situation. I prefer all my megamen without helmets.

Welcome to the fold. What kind of graphic design do you do?
As a graphics man myself I can't help but find myself on the lookout for skilled acquaintances for whatever situations may arise that I'm not enough for the task.
I will say it may be difficult to be active on a MML forum without much knowledge of MML... but, activity is activity. I'll be interested to see what you bring to the TLT circuit.

Hmm. Really? Well, sabotaged or not, they were still trying to keep people away from Forbidden Island. As for the Geetz battle, I'd assume the Sulpher Bottom held up because only the roof was being attacked. Gatz must have caused some structural damage during his assault, much like how Volnutt defeated the Gesellschaft in MML1. Or... I don't know. I was going to say that maybe Capcom decided to phase out the "defensive battles" from MML2, but that'd be untrue. I can remember at least two instances where you need to defend something with its own health bar. If you watch the opening, you'll see that Gatz only strafes along the roof and blows up two gun turrets. Then suddenly the engines explode and it goes down. Defensive battles DO suck though...so I'm glad I didn't have to worry about every shot I DIDN'T get hit with, causing me a game over...

Well... I don't have a clear image in mind just yet, I'm working on that and will probably draw it when I'm ready, but I can sum up my entry pretty easily... Instead of a complicated fancy entrance-way like some sort of temple, (as this is a sub-gate,) why not have the entrance be something that looks like a service entry?
Ruins all at one time served some kind of function presumably, so there should be some ruins that aren't entirely obvious. The main entrance hasn't been discovered because of years of sediment or whatever building up on top of them... however there is a service entry. Something like a simple manhole type thing, though likely raised and with a proper sealed door on top.
Or to be even more direct, an entrance that is not a vertical door, but rather a horizontal door. Like a cellar or sewer might have.

I thought it was more of just a luxury ship since it didn't have any weapons and they didn't even make it to the forbidden island, plus all the excessive fanciness. Gatz and Yuna deliberately sabotaged the Sulpher Bottom in order to prevent if from reaching the Forbidden Island and awakening Sera. It stands to reason to believe that they only did so because it was capable of beating the windy and stormy atmosphere. tl;dr "NOOOOO ENGIIIIIIIIINES!" Gatz didn't intend to bring the ship down. It was entirely accidental. Gatz shot the ship down when he was attacking the deck-mounted guns. Yuna even states that she doesn't want them harmed before Gatz begins his assault. Then the ship crashes and Gatz apologizes, seemingly surprised that it was so fragile.... Then again, people have hunted gigantic whales with ordinary harpoons for centuries... Considering the relative sizes and constructions... the iron whale was brought down by an ordinary laser harpoon... oddly fitting... The question is, WHY doesn't the ship crash again when Trigger is Fighting Geetz? Is Geetz just a wimp compared to Gatz? Is the ship built well and Gatz is a MONSTER, or is the ship built poorly and Geetz is a pushover?

-What will there alt colors/skins be? This actually made me realize something: Megaman's suit doesn't change colour when he uses his various weapons. Maybe it's because of the alt costume thing.....Mario's clothes don't change colour when he shoots fireballs, either. Hmmmm...Anyway, I'm assuming Megaman's alt costumes will be the colours that his weapons would correspond to--red, green, yellow, etc. I've also been contemplating what his Final Smash will be like. Hope it's not another projectile attack. Would be awesome if he summoned Mecha Dragon, but I guess that wouldn't make sense canonically. I'd bet on something involving Rush.... Assuming it isn't just a projectile attack... it probably will be.

I've never found any respite from these public statements Greg makes. You always take away the feeling that he and Capcom are annoyed by having to say anything on the subject and you can tell they don't really give a damn about us. They say that the experience was overall good and has taught them lessons and shaped the company but what they really learned was to never attempt some thing like the Legends 3 project ever again. Hardly inspirational. I agree with you. What I take away from this is that there are possibly a small number of people working for capcom of america that wanted to produce the game, but that capcom as a corporate entity loathed the idea from the onset, and used it as a spite when one of their big names left. There is actually validity to the "what they really learned was to never attempt some thing like the Legends 3 project ever again" statement. History has actually told us time and time again that when people come together and share ideas on what they want a product to be, it is always terrible in the end. Design by committee satisfies one desire of each person, with a product no one would ever want. The combination of what you want and what I want, ends up being something neither of us wants. It was a cool concept, but doomed to fail I think. however... that said, even a bad sequel would still be better than nothing at all.

I have no idea what any of you are talking about as there seems to be less than no context, so here's a link to a patch for english menus in Battle Network 4.5... unfortunately it does break all of the spoken dialogue meaning you will not be able to read it even if you speak japanese. www.mediafire.com/?tiwx34ibwwoi72h

I have to admit, it's a pretty good idea for a thread to archive any communal and fan-made Reaverbots. The inclusion of additional blurbs would definitely help The Digger's Survival Guide, too. You've got a good thing going here, Satoh. Ten points to Gryffindor. The don't need to be fanmade, it can be any kind. From Arijig to Zakobon...(cough Horokko...) I just think it's a cool idea to have a list of Reaverbots described in an in-character sort of way... the way they would be if we actually lived in that world. And also Diggers have to have some idea what they're getting themselves into.

The thing that makes it really irritating is, yes, they do probably get lots of emails protesting the LGBT characters that are able to be created... But its not like its anything new. There's always a contingent of protesters about every issue, its just something big businesses have to deal with. There's people protesting that EA is too LGBT friendly, and there's people undoubtedly protesting that EA is not too LGBT friendly enough. I'm sure there's people protesting EA's lunch policy!
That's what public relations is for in the first place! Its not a question of IF there's a complaint, its a question of funneling the pointlessly large number of complaints into a place that no one has to look at. I'm sure there's also complaints that EA is too religious and not religious enough... too shallow, not focused enough on beauty... every issue has at least a few hundred people who will write angry things about them in both directions.
EA is just a sickening excuse for a business... especially if that's the best scapegoat they can come up with.
