Merry Christmas all, always a joy to see the finished pieces.
fab:This got a chuckle out of me, loved it and almost expected to see the reaver blow up after a couple hits
Abethgrimshaw: love the work on this, definitely had something in mind when I came up with the prompt, thank you!
Dashe: I want to see the body builder mimic in a future game now 😆
Wingin: "sorry we can't get you Megaman, here's a Christmas tree", great work loved the inclusion of the horokko just sitting there.
Raven: love the use of the figures, I think Teisel could find a way to use the gramophone
Myself: When I thought of what to do, I thought the angel star from kingdom hearts was a reaverbot and when I remembered it wasn't I recalled the bal kacche. I imagine it being a bit larger than usual in order to guard the loot

There's always a feeling of nostalgia coming back here after such a long time gone. Always feels like coming home. I poked around my profile a bit and realized I've been a member here for just over 15 years now. So many memories of late nights hopping on the computer writing my fanfics, such good times! I hope everyone is doing well in these crazy times and everyone can find something to hold onto for some kind of sanity. My wife and I are trying to have children and have been going through a lot of rough patches so if any of you could, please wish us luck.

I've honestly been stalking the forums for the past couple of weeks waiting for this to show up. I've been looking forward to this after missing the past couple years. I hope everyone is well.
My request this year: Armor Up

I'm with fAB on all fronts on this. Congrats for getting this going again this year Melty. I kept checking the forums up until the 14th to see if it was going down this year but I didn't want to pressure anyone if it didn't. Figures I would miss entering but I'm still excited to see what comes of it. Merry Christmas everyone!

spacecaptanface, *insert obligatory obi-wan kenobi name meme here*, great to see you back. Seeing you stop in sent me on a trip down memory lane as I scrolled through some of the old stories I used to write in the old days. I miss those days before social media exploded and this was my escape from the world. This is the first I think I've truly stopped in since last year's Secret Santa event. I pop by every now and again but this is the first I've posted in who knows how long. It's nice to know this place is always here and when I need my Legends fix I can always come home.

Time for my rundown on this year's entries!
HF: I really liked the idea of a war movie poster! I was excited to see that you received my request this year! Thanks a ton!
SpaceApollo: Yeah I can imagine that Teisel wouldn't be up for this kind of thing. I love Bon just looming over everyone in the background.
Myself: I'm not good at drawing animals so i figured that basic shapes and blobs would work out better in my favor. I noticed MegaTuga's comment about using crayons. I actually used a small set of oil pastels that I bought and tried them out since I never used them as a medium for art before (except for school but that was years ago). The more I created the picture the more I realized that it was going to look like crayon art but I still enjoyed making this. A couple other things to point out in my thought process. I thought it'd be funny to have the cats steal Megaman's weapons to fight back against the dogs and if you look at the top middle, I tired to put in one of the Kattelox workers that is seen hanging around Old City.
Blyka: Riding around on those ducks brings back a ton of memories. Love it! Quack!
MLT: This one's really cool, having the last remaining human surrounded by all the machinery.
Mirak: I enjoyed the inclusion of the Rugrats joke. I could totally imagine Roll going overboard like this.
FAB: All of that wreck and ruin from a 14 year old boy. Just curious, was there ever a point when you considered putting in any of the destroyed mechs from Legends 2 or was it always Legends 1 focused?
Vilepixel: This was sweet and enjoyable. Nice to see side characters, like the cop, get a little attention for a change.
MegaTuga: I like a good photoshop image. The image really portrays the spirit of the season, great job!
Raven: Your art is always improving! Great piece and I like the snowman reaverbots.
Wingin: Yosyonke always brings back memories of Christmas and the interior shot of the train invites warm memories of relaxing winter days from when I was a kid. Data sleeping on the luggage rack is cute.
Great year everyone! I'm glad that we are able to keep this tradition going and I hope we can get it going again next year!

I'm so glad I didn't miss the signups. I was thinking about this event a couple of weeks ago and had completely forgotten in the time since. This is always a favorite of mine and I look forward to it every year. This year my request: Downfall of the Donner Wels

I think the bright colors are what always sets the first game apart from the 2nd game and, in my opinion, makes them feel like they take place in two separate worlds almost. I like the analysis so far and can't wait to read what else you have.

Just wanted to drop in and say that I like the small amounts of progress! The treasure chest looks nice and I've always been a fan of the wrap around sky for the Legends series. I don't get a chance to catch the updates as much as I used to but when I do it's cool to look back on a month's worth of work and see the progress you two are putting out. Keep at it!

Just wanted to stop by and say that it's good to see (even if it doesn't seem like much) you two have been getting accomplished the past few weeks. The small things such as getting the pause menu working and other tidbits like that are nice to hear about and I'm happy for you guys each step of the way. Keep up the good work!

Great artwork all around everyone! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas as well! HF - Tiesel's eyes look like they're about to shoot some lasers! Too bad he doesn't want a complete collection it seems. UltraViolet64 - This one gave me a good laugh. This may have been the one request I was really curious to see what would come from it, good job! MegaTuga - Who can deny how good pancakes and jam taste? I like the animation, stinks that it sounded like a rough time. ravenf6 - I wasn't sure what to expect from my request but it really exceeded my expectations! The imagery of Trigger coming just in time to rescue Barrett is something I'd love to see in video game format someday. I agree with Dashe in that this would be a cool comic! Thanks for the artwork! Blyka - Interesting take using the Feldynaught as a base idea. This would make for an interesting boss fight and I enjoy Megaman's unsure reaction! fAB - I'm with everyone else on how great this turned out! The ecstatic birdbot gave me some good laughs! Handlebar-Orion X. - I love this one in that it's set realistically. I could see something like this happening between my fiance and her younger sister! Space Apollo - yeah all of that money just goes straight to Roll. Too bad Megaman gets the short end of the stick with the stuff. Maybe it's time Roll found a part time job somewhere. Dashe - I love this one. It's a cute little scene and the puppy reminds me of when I got mine, a cute little guy that just wants to be loved! Santa Melty - Aero looks so mischievous in this it's great! avianbeauty98 - Poor officer, I do like that the KTOX police force is stepping up their game though. As for my piece: first of all I'm really glad you enjoyed my piece for you this year! After seeing everyone mention it, Data does look like a 5 Night's character. And yeah this is my first time trying to make an animation. I really enjoyed working on this piece even though I started it pretty late this year. I was initially going to use my sketchbook and recreate the scenes on each page but when I couldn't find that I turned to gimp. I started by making the black background so that it would be easier to create Barrett. As my first frame progressed forward, I decided to leave the black background and make it an outdoors market of sorts. But I ended up really enjoying the effects that the airbrush left on the background. It didn't turn out fuzzy like I thought it would and, in my mind, left a faux chalk like look to it which I thought looked unique. So I started each of the three sections with a base image, I would save that image then create individual frames after that, all the while going back to the base image so that I wouldn't have to recreate everything. All in all it was something new that I had never done before and it turned out better than I imagined. Sorry for the low res at a larger size. I made the pics 500 x 500 pixels thinking it would be a decent size for the front page. Oh well, next time I use gimp for a secret santa I'll up the pixels. Good year all around everyone!!!
