Yeah, I'm sure you're all well aware that Inafune still wants to make Mega Man Legends 3. That much was actually pretty obvious. But now he's gone on the record in an interview with our pal Jeremy Parish, stating that even now, it occupies the #1 slot in terms of games that he wants to make. Number. Freaking. One. The exact paragraphs in question can be viewed below. You know, being really loud and really persistent about all this might actually pay off.

I just saw this article. I think I'm going to cry. I want this game so freaking badly, but man, it almost hurts to see Inafking's ultimate dream hovering just out of reach like this.

I'll gladly hop aboard the Hope train. Beats the Hype Train by a longshot.

Yeah, I guess it's about time we got a new train. You know what? If Inafune's not going to stop talking about wanting to make the game, then for what it's worth the least we ought to do as a community is keep on talking about the Legends series and showing our support whenever the opportunity arises. Make some fanworks, wave the Legends flag, and so forth. If people keep talking about it, then someone out there is going to take note eventually. It just doesn't make sense to throw in the towel if Inafune isn't going to give up either, you know? I mean, really. From the sound of it, that whole team would jump on the opportunity to make it. I really wish there were some easy way to tell those guys stuff like "Yeah, I'm in it to win it, too!" and "How do I buy Comcept stock from overseas?"

Yup! I've always had a rekindled hope for this reinitialization since last October. Hopefully that official statement from Inafune will kick some of y'all into a cheerier disposition, should you be lacking the motivation or drive for MML3.

My Nintendo News got it and so did Gimme Gimme Games. So did Siliconera. And some overseas site with all the text in Spanish. That article printed out to ten pages, but the one thing that's going around is that last fifth or so of the thing talking about Mega Man Legends 3. We're not alone. You hear that, MMLS? Are you gonna step up, or just keep lurking about like there's nothing left to say? What the hell's it going to take to light some fire under your asses? I mean, Inafune himself hasn't tossed in the towel yet, and there are people out there that I've never even heard of who looked at an interview and saw this as the most noteworthy portion of it, even though it covered games that are actually coming out, like MN9 and Azure Striker Gunvolt. (And on a related note, is TMMN completely burned out or something?)

Inafune is a legend himself, anything he does or says attract too much attention from almost the entire gaming fanbase, the man practically turns into gold whatever he touches, it's unbelievable how Capcom treated him all these years, and now they're losing the opportunity to make more money by either selling the franchise or hiring him.
Inafune rocks... His Dragon Ball reference too... Capcom should learn some things from him.

*Rides in on the MML Hope Train* All aboard, plebs! I'm driving this thing 'till the bitter end! I agree with this and what Dashe has been saying. It's time for the community to gather its numbers and start pushing again. We need the members of unity, 100k, MMLS, TMMN, and Rockman-Corner to start a massive push of sorts. With Inafune still wanting to do this we need to just plaster to Capcom in a way that they will finally give in to demand. This is truly uplifting and not that I lost all hope, but it's definitely time to board the hope train once again!!! To the future of LEGENDS!!! (And to answer Dashe's question about TMMN, yeah it seems that way ever since this TMMN ever since it seems like it takes them a week to put up 'current' news)

The fans want it, and the people that made the games want it. What matters now is if the company that owns the IP wants it. Wish they'd swallow up their pride or whatever's holding them back and pony up for this already. If it fails, that's it for the Legends series. If not, maybe it gets a rebirth like the Ace Attorney has seen recently.

I'm driving this thing 'till the bitter end! ...This is truly uplifting and not that I lost all hope, but it's definitely time to board the hope train once again!!! To the future of LEGENDS!!! Different train, Dragge. The old one was the Hype Train, and it crashed into a male tortoise-shell cat snoozing on the tracks when Capcom canned the Legends 3 Prototype. It's nice to have a new train. The old one was starting to smell a little funny anyway. Either they pony up for it, or they screw up with Monster Hunter and get themselves in a position where they either have to start selling off IPs to keep on existing or go bankrupt. I hope it doesn't come down to that, but I'm certainly not going to help them out of any financial pickle they might get themselves into if they don't give me that one thing in all of the gaming world that I want.

No I was talking about my first hope train after the hype train derailed after the cancellation of the Prototype.

I started a thread in the Ask Capcom forums asking "why not work with Comcept on Legends 3?" but like nearly any thread there, it was locked. Possibly due to a small quickly resolved argument. Which is weird, because usually the way more heated ones last longer. Honestly, I don't see why they can't or feel they can't do this. I'm no financial expert, but the stars are practically aligned, and don't see any signs of departing. It would be a great PR boost for Capcom showing that they don't hate Inafune or us, (which the Inafune thing would be a more believable conspiracy,) Inafune would finally be able to make his dream game, AND not have to work for Capcom, or let them overwork him to the bone, we the fans get what we want, (unless you want Megaman to get sold to Inafune, which will never happen or if you want Capcom dead,) they both will make tons of money especially if any further profits lead to ports, it's basically a win win win situation. And anybody who calls themselves a Megaman fan, would be stupid not to buy legends 3, no matter how many times Capcom screwed us over or if they hate the idea of Inafune working with them. Which those guys can't even decide if they hate that idea or not.
