So that means Barrett's going to be running around without any pants? Gosh. If he turns out to be Gramps in the end, that could prove to be all sorts of awkward. I'm just messing, if you couldn't guess already. If Ishihara wants to try something totally new in terms of aesthetic design, he might as well do it with the new guy. After all, Barrett isn't the one we've been waiting ten years to see...as long as it's aesthetically balanced, without any major negative space issues, I'll be fine with it. Actually...it's Barrett. I'm not emotionally invested in him, so I couldn't care less what he looks like as long as he still looks original and in-tune with the rest of the cast in the end. Now come on and give us that release date, Capcom. :-\

Wait a minute what's this, special weapons mount? If the right weapon was attached it sounds like an awesome idea!

They hinted that back-mounted special weapons may very well be lighter than primary special weapons—that screams to me support weaponry class, but IDK.

It screams to me putting something like a hoverpack or something on Rock's back for flight. Or something. Still, glad to see Design D won out; it's the one I voted for, after all. And if they do make figures based on it, I see the lines on the joints could signify he might make a good Revoltech figure. Which, if they made a Revoltech Megaman, would be both totally awesome and totally disturbing; A Revoltech Megaman could use other Revoltech toy equipment, like Black Getter's Getter Tomahawk or Dante's Rebellion sword (which means we could swap 'em out and take funny DMC/MML crossover figure photos, and put Rock's Buster on Dante's arm). But this would also mean we could switch out his head for other figures'. Like Woody's.

I'm probably one of the few that really doesn't like Mega's joints. I mean, one of the things I love about Trigger is that he's different from the other MegaMans because he's a carbon, i.e. "human". I guess they're really trying to emphasize that he replaced his entire body with mechanical parts. A Rock Volnutt Revoltech would be awesome though!

I'm pretty alright with Trigger's new design. He looks manly... The visible joints make me want to pester a figurine company into making an articulated figure of him, which would be awesome to have sitting on my shelf. Though his unhappy expression worries me too. (Cheer up, Trigger! I'm sure Barrett will let you ride his hover-motor-bike thing! )

Alright I've had some time to digest it, so here's me belated thoughts. Overall I like it alot. I like the beefier look he has. It's just funny that Ishihara snuck in those hip discs. I will say though that it does remove the "undies" look while still keeping them there, they're tastefully done while still remaining true to his original styling so I'll take it. I don't think I'm too wild about the ball joints, it almost seems like Ishihara interpreted the results as people wanted him to look more robot/mecha like. But overall it is quite nice and balanced and still in harmony with his original look. And it could be much, much, worse:

Here's hoping that the other suit options become free DLC so we can play as whichever one we want.

Is this for real? Like is this going into the actual game?

Is this for real? Like is this going into the actual game? The final design featured in the first post of this topic? Yeah.

I'm late, dang it, but overall i love this design, i was hoping it'd be something with Hip-Plates
The joints now officially look like real full-cover armor joints would, while retaining the essences of, and throwing back to, the MM and MMX days, imho.

I really am glad that they've *finally* chosen the final armour design for MegaMan; and it protects all important parts as well. If the other design had won, I would play extra cautiously as I hope that none of the reaverbots would jump at MegaMan and might one day result in a very awkward accident.
I found it quite interesting that MegaMan had quite an angry expression. Foreshadowing, perhaps?
