We were all just making guesses and speculatin', though. The Event 7 forum is also now up and has a general discussion thread, a rules thread, and a thread to sign up and declare team participation.
—Speaking of submission rules... *goes to update*

Teams can be of up to three members, unlimited submissions, due...wait, I don't see a deadline anywhere!
EDIT: The Japanese site says June 24th, but since it's the 3rd there now, I guess the 23rd, 17:00 PST?

While I like how they'll be recognizing team efforts in a structured manner, three imposes a limit on us that wasn't foreseen—we'll have to think of something when the time is right, I guess.

But on the flip side, we do have unlimited submissions.

Good—that means we can try a bunch of different styles and diversify the portfolio as much as we want. Can't wait to get on iScribble tomorrow!

Called it! ∗ victory fist-pump ∗ This is a cool idea for an event, although I can only imagine how many “bat” submissions there are going to be. Three person teams sounds kind of lame, but at least it's not limited to two-person teams; I was kind of expecting that, actually. The little premise they provide for the character is kind of neat, too; at least it gives you something to think about, instead of just pulling something out of the clear blue sky. It should be interesting to see what people come up with.

And I betcha' many of the submissions will tie into that whole Klicke Lafonica business—if that be the case, I'd like to avoid such a tie-in. Furthermore: Roll is the only Caskett family connection Barrett has according to the new post and, according to the new character relations chart on the main site ( www.capcom.co.jp/rockman/dash3/main.html#/character), he has no connections to Barrel! What a change.

I betcha we're going to get a bunch of Rush submissions. I think our best bet is to do the planning in this thread instead of on iScribble. We have almost a month, and iScribble planning is hectic as anything. Just do our thing, only we get three reps instead of one for whatever we think up. If any team of three gets recognized, everyone who helped on it gets a badge (or an upgrade to the one they already have).

We should also avoid bats—not that you can't do a good cartoon bat (although the only good ones I can think of happen to be Bob Clampett-styled, which wouldn't fit with Legends too well!), but it's a predictable base for a mascot character. The mascot should ideally represent the attitude of the whole gang and, at the same time, hold cartoon appeal.

True would have posted Rush all over this contest if he wasn't banned. Well, I'll get working on my mascot once I see a few other submissions and get an idea for something that will stand out.

What about a Reaverbot that gets friendly, kind of like Anima's Poccomi concept? That'd be mysterious alright.
