I'd be inclined to agree. As long as the Fanbase is noticeable, you'll be surprised what Developers will do to Advertise. Such as this.

@ pureweavel: But unlike Starcraft, the DASH/Legends series is not recognized as a national sport... More like their digital bid at world domination, if you ask me. The Koreans use it almost like an art of war...

Okay, so there's a Kinako report from yesterday that hasn't been translated yet and effectively concludes the coverage of Mr. Famous's meeting with the execs. According to some Google-Translator text at the bottom, Kinako writes, "From this day (I guess the day the six-part Eguchi coverage began?) a week and a half has passed." If this is the case, and if it translates to what I think it translates to...there are probably two meetings, and the intital one, where Eguchi dressed up as Mr. Famous, occurred a week and a half ago and resulted in Eguchi's blog about resolve. That would mean that the meeting he mentioned in that blog post really IS probably occurring right now. Well, dang. :17: Fingers crossed!

For the sake of my sanity I'm just going to believe it will be greenlit. I can't even begin to imagine how I'm going to feel if it doesn't. Like waking up one morning only to find out we're not getting Legends 3 after all? :21: So yeah, fingers crossed. :06: I hope we get the update about this current meeting very soon.

There's another post for today that hasn't been translated yet (what's up with Greg?) which says that the meeting is today and everyone's worried. It ends with there will be further information this Friday (Thursday for the US). Man they're sure making us wait, and with Greg taking so long to post the new blogs paranoia is beginning to set in.
Thought it seems they have done quite a bit for a project that has not been officially approved, e.g. begin recording all the dialogue for the game in both Japanese and English.
Oh here's the blog in Japanese:

No updates until Friday Japan time? Maaaaaaan. :01: The US devroom got Kinako Report #51 in, which probably means we will see #52 tomorrow and the follow-up from yesterday's meeting on Thursday, then. Technically we aren't "missing" anything. The DASH3 twitter apologized for the wait...I guess the chances of the news being good are better if they can afford to wait it out until then? Or maybe the execs gave them some kind of specific direction to head in that they'd need a few days to set up...there are just so many possibilities that it's starting to get more interesting to speculate about what's going on behind the scenes than about the in-game details! For reference, here's Google's translation of the blog that Tominator posted: It came with a brilliant Kinako-Servbot, too. When this is all over she ought to release a special artbook of all her drawings, including the other Servbot and the monitor lion.
THIS JUST IN! According to Google Translate, it looks like they've got a time extension. And something about meeting certain conditions? The translation's really broken this time. :06: What a time for it to be this confusing, too!

This is what I got from the Translator. ___________
Hello. The producer Rin Kita.
Flour daily, and because the notice on Twitter, That this timing is in charge of my blog Everyone is talking about something sensible, I think you already know!
Yes, Eguchi expert announced in a previous blog, "Dob Fri size don" familiar is the story of the outcome of the meeting approved this work? (I really wanted to tell the day, Adult circumstances and there was a lot ... sorry)
We are making a game plan to consolidate the concept of first, "Prototype" will be created from. Depending on what you sell the game, what can be expressed in different prototypes.
If the DASH project, "DASH Development Office," for coming here is that Try making a game with everyone in the user! That, because never before attempted sale, "WEB special operations and community building, Nintendo 3DS new Rockman DASH to achieve " As the biggest theme that is not made a prototype.
The completed prototype version of the game this way, of course, DASH actual numbers or user's activities in the development laboratory, Or passion for celebrities and other development team everyone Eguchi The last ace in the hole (!) Or have been challenged in various meetings and pulls.
... ... At the meeting, it no longer was engaged in various discussions. Numbers (money that story short,) or, like a story about Capcom's Mega Man brand, Outlook or future, or ... or.
And for me is the result of the meeting also felt forever ...
How ...
"Extension of trial period!" ! !
Do I get approval for this work? Or do you get lost? Which is it? ? ... And everyone of you were in a stew is the result i am so sorry. But, well, the company is also an outcome of these.
Then, an extension of time? For the terms, DASH project to measure the rise of "a certain condition," soon became that.
"Certain conditions" are let each side and reported adjusted! Because it is office workers, too! Sorry!
Well, whatsoever, can take time for extension of time were developed by prototyping, Room to move in various ways was born as a producer. Future, DASH liven up more development room, DASH broaden more projects I would like to introduce a variety of gimmicks.
Everyone's continued support, encouragement, thank you! !

So we are going to have an extension to make a better prototype? Wonder what 'special conditions' they have to have met?

Yep, the English translation is up on CU, so much for solving that mystery. But at least it's not a cancellation. I guess I better start making more noise about the devroom on some of the other sites I visit to help satisfy the execs by hopefully getting more people interested in the project.

I guess this means the existence of this project rests on the game's hype...way to make us wait more. Seriously, when this is all over I will have no patience left. It's practically sapped as it is. :-\
Though yes, at least it isn't a cancellation. The "We can't tell you this yets" are frustrating as ever, but at least the thing still exists. I wasn't expecting a cancellation based on the continuation of the Kinako reports and the continued existence of the devroom, but the last thing on my mind was admittedly more waiting.

Agreed, it kinda put all of that tension to waste... but it's better than nothing.
I don't think another meeting will happen anytime soon.

So, anyone else feel a little tired of getting jerked around by the development team for the sake of dramatic quality and their own amusement? Because I am. If I wanted to watch pointless crap get dragged out into six parts and then end without a climax instead of one quick overview, I'd go watch Yu-Gi-Oh. The 4kids dub.

Well that sucks....... Are they seriously asking this stuff? I think the game will sell well this whole thing of 'sorry guys we have an extension now' is a chance I guess for them to bring a better A game. They shouldn't need it to get approval the very fact that we've been waiting/demanding this game be made for the past ten years (almost four for me ;D) should be good enough for them. But its always about the money. I'll just hold my breath and think of this as a chance for them to make this the most awesome 3Ds game ever made.

Sadly, for the big managers at Capcom, unless they have a 100% proof that this game's profit will cover the costs, it's not going pass the green light. As much as "Pleasing the fans goes", it's cool as long as it doesn't generate a deficit for them.
Anyhow, time extension is still ok. Just means that the team got to impress more at the next meeting.
