I don´t complain about the blockiness, it´s really "cute" if you love 3d modelling and comparing next-gen games (at least for me ;D ) I really appreciate psone games because of the big effort the gaming companies added to them, making water and such, also i copy some of the methods used on MML, remember Hanmuru-doll´s glowing eye? now i know how they did that "effect" just add a plane in front of the model and... wait, i have to look for the shocked Servbot warning on the DevRoom...

To be fair, Legends games have been more focused on general effect and visual style than on going overboard with texture details, so it's not surprising that even the new Aero model, despite her having more ornaments than usual for a Legends character, seems pretty basic on a detail level. Buildings and general architecture is where a lot of the detail work went in both Legends, and could very well be the same for this game.

Aw, she's adorable. I have to admit, Aero's design has really grown on me. I can't wait until Legends 3 comes out; seeing Rock rendered the same way will be awesome.

Well this game is going to be played on a 4.5inch screen(something like that) so I'd bet that it'll look better when it's actually in your hands. Not that I think it looks bad. I'm really excited to see animation and video.

No blocky fists! She looks so much younger than I'd been expecting when I really took the time to examine her model...

Yep I must say, Aero's looking mighty fine as a non-blocky model, and she's even got shiny hair! edit: I wanted to try out Dashe's picture-framing method late at night. leave me alone.

This model is looking spiffy indeed! Now for them to reveal some other models.

Yeah, Aero's great, but seeing her isn't getting me as hyped up for this game as I'd like to be. What's the holdup with the rest of the cast? It's like going to a high school reunion after ten years, being greeted by some kid you don't know, and finding out nobody else has shown up to the party yet. :24:

I completely understand, Ave and Dashe. Ever since day 1, I've been completely dying to see how Megaman will look, just as Dashe is dying for Tiesel. I wonder who will turn up next...

@Dashe: I get the feeling that Aero is going to be the 'public face' of the Devroom- the main symbol for the fan co-development, if that makes sense. I'm sure we'll see the main cast in time, perhaps in a story/characters or other general modelling update.
At any rate, considering the stage of development MML3 should be around, this is quite nice. : ) *thinks about updating the thread to cover the VA recording updates in the Devroom now as well?*

My reaction is different. Seeing Aero's model just made me 100 times more excited for when we finally see Mega Man. I think her model looks adorable, especially the face, even if I wasn't the biggest fan of how they changed her original design (zooming in on her clothing, I still don't get the whole shorts-not-buttoned-up look). I can only imagine and squee to myself over the potential Mega Man has. And as mentioned, digging the lack of blocky fists!
Here I am, looking at Aero, when I should be getting ready to leave for my midterm haha.

Oh, obviously Aero's the public face of the DevRoom. Otherwise these heroine reports would've stopped at the 3D model. I just wish I actually knew enough to...er...care. "Positive," "somewhat incompetent," "has a crush on someone," and "Spotter" don't really reveal that much.
I guess technically you could add "likes gyros" to that comprehensive list of stuff we know about Aero. It's a start. Maybe someone should start compiling a real list for that. XD

I'm with you Dashe, I see Aero and it does nothing for me. She's obviously going to be important, since she was in the ice skating wallpaper and they call her a heroine, but honestly I don't care about her.

I think you guys are expecting a little too much from the average devroomie. No one gives a shit about the characters, they just like the design. So Capcom exploits just that. I can't say I'm bothered by it; I don't actively peruse CU. Anytime I do it's usually linked from here or iScribble. I share your indifference, but I'm not surprised people get excited over it...
Or maybe that's just Capcom's way of showing off the graphic style of the game, and not just the character herself, eh? If this is anything to go by, I like how faithful it is to the previous games. They always had something of a flat, colorful feel to 'em that predated the way cel shading is done today, but it's an obvious step forward with the higher poly-count. It makes me want to see a remake of the original '97 game. With that said, I think the model does its job well.
