...I really hope none of the models for the 3DS turn out in "Holy" mode. I'd like a few in "Dark" mode instead. *sweatdrop*

Chillax, guys--they're testing out different shaders, so the gloss should probably be out of the question when they decide on a shader. They already got the toon-shade look right, and they should know to get rid of the gloss as well.

Naah, that can't be the final model, there seems to be a little too much shine on her face... unless she was meant to be that pale? O.o
The shading looks like its working though. I like.

Wow, I can't wait to see Roll Tron and Triggers models now let alone the landscape whenever thats eventually done, if thats how bright Aero is though I wonder how they will treat the dark normal and light Megaman now.

We've seen the impressive graphics the 3DS is capable of, and this certainly isn't disappointing. Great job Devguys! ;D
And since they're doing the graphics in anime-style, I hope the funnier scenes in the game include stuff like big sweat drops. We rarely see that, even in other anime-style games.

It's amazing how much work goes into things like this, which we often take for granted. Looking back on it, it's amazing how they were able to do such good stuff with the first two Legends games with so little. I'm looking forward to more of the 3d modelling in the near future.

I like the new art style, it's as close as you could get to being Legends without being blocky. It will be strange playing the game without blockiness though, which is funny because I used to complain about it.

LOL Blockiness. Loken just made me realize all of that is going to completely disappear... Am I ready to make the plunge...?
Now that my eyes are open, I really want to see more than just Aero's model, it's like, "who cares anymore?" lol
Mikey never complained about blockiness.

I never complained about the blockiness either, but I don't mind that it's smooth now. Interestingly enough, testbuilding for pandm101's been cool because it's really easy to see how the blocky models came together in Legends 1. You probably couldn't build a papercraft Aero, but if anyone's interested in reproducing Legends models on a computer or modeling in that style, papercraft's a good way to get a feel for how they were originally constructed. *Wants to see Teisel, but you already knew that.*

I want to see Bon too, because if he hasn't aged any he's got to not be a human/carbon.

I'm not even sure how old Tron's supposed to be in this one, much less Bon!

You bring up an interesting point, Dashe. Back then, the idea of 3D was still in its infancy, so we not pay no mind to things like blockiness, though I bet the more recent generation of gamers would.
It brings to mind a question- when the time Legends 3 comes out, will we look at the blockiness issue with remembrance? I'd like to think so...

Thing is, those were the days when the gaming press and many gamers were heavy into battles over the technical superiority of game consoles, mainly the PlayStation VS. the Saturn VS. the N64. Part of their daily routine, it would seem, was to go over how blocky a model looked in one port of a game compared to the original or to another port, and so on about how these system could push better visuals on a technical level. At this point in the history of gaming, consoles and PC systems have all reached a level of similar technical prowess, and now the focus is switching back to making games that actually look good just because of good visual design.
No one's really talking about blockiness anymore, as a result. We are, but only because of the massive leap in technical quality we're about to see with Legends 3. It was always an issue of its time, and this game is going to look amazing regardless of any slight technical flaws there may be present.

You know, I'm honestly not that impressed with Aero's model. It's a big step up, sure, and it's pretty faithful to Legends' style, but it still feels pretty basic. I'm not really sure why, but I think I was expecting a bit more. Maybe it's the style they went with or something. I dunno, hopefully when we get to see the previously existing cast, that feeling will go away.
I was aware of the blockiness back in the day, but I don't think I ever complained about it. Maybe sometimes. It was pretty bad sometimes; I really can't deny that.
