Yeah. From how the contest seems, I'd say that it's likely that it'll be solo, but we can comment on our descriptions to make sure we each get a really good description to submit.

Awesome! The townspeople really go a long way towards establishing the feel of the MML universe, and I'm glad they've decided to let us help in some way. Can't wait to see how the contest works.

Yay, now we can incorporate ourselves into the game! This is turning out to be so much fun, I just hope that Capcom will think a bit for themselves as well and add a few surprises to the game that the fans have not been aware of. I really liked the various townspeople-related sidequests in MML1. The woman giving birth, the curator... uh, I know there are a bunch more but I can't seem to remember. I need to play it again! I hope that they'll make the towns much more interactive in MML3. Kinako's Daily Report. Nothing terribly interesting up there yet either, but it's a nice introduction and description, at least. Hopefully that will be something interesting to follow. And she says she'll try to respond to comments and questions, so that's nice. EDIT: Oh hey, apparently there's another entry for that already. It's nothing terribly interesting either, but still. Nifty. Ah, but remember, she's 'going to try extra hard to make these as interesting and fun as possible!' I, for one, am sure that she will not fail in doing so.

Yay, now we can incorporate ourselves into the game! I do hope this somehow literally becomes the case: like if they allow us to design NPCs and give them personalities and stupid little things to say. Just for the phun of it. At the moment, it sounds like they're going to do the designing and we have to come up with everything else. (I'd flip if I got to see all of you guys in Legends 3) I completely agree about the sidequests and townspeople in Legends. That really added a ton to the game. It's very cool of Capcom to include us in the process of coming up with these people. Ah, but remember, she's 'going to try extra hard to make these as interesting and fun as possible!' I, for one, am sure that she will not fail in doing so. Ah yeah, right-o. I am looking forward to whatever she's got to show us in the future, once this thing really gets moving. So far, I'm not really sure what to expect from that, though. But we're only three entries in, so we'll have to see.

What i understand from what Kinako said is exactly as Pitch says, they´ll give us designs and we´ll give´em a name or phrase. So on this contest there´s a high probability that there will be more winners, not just one, approximately 2 winners per NPC, isn´t?
As for designing our own NPC, i really hope they´ll let us design them, maybe it will be more fun. (or phun? i don´t know :06:)
"I´ll go talk with that person near the theater, hey! that hat seems particularly familiar..."

I'm not low enough that I will copypasta my other threads here, seeing as HalcyonDays, one of the guys who responds to my threads the most, is pretty much never over here anymore. I'll see what I can think of down the line. Chooo... Alright alright, fine fine. I'll try not to unintentionally neglect my fellow Stationians here as well, it's just, if we're going to be having discussions on game development progress, I'd rather it would be directly see-able by the Developers over at the Devroom rather than having to transfer all ideas accumulated from threads here over to there, which isn't a bad thing, but it just saves on time to post where Developers can see. Other than that, I'm not quite seeing what's wrong about doing a Copy/Paste of a thread from Unity to here. On Topic Though: Adding new NPCs is always fun, especially when they're all just a slight bit eccentric or noticeable in their own little ways but I wonder if we'll ever meet up with Climbing Girl, Ira, and the 3 kids who built the clubhouse ever again? Meeting the old NPCs of the past would be a nice throwback to more nostalgic times.

Ira should totally be a digger in Legends 3.

I think having Ira be in training to become a Digger would be a great idea, but I'm not sure she'll become an outright Digger so soon after recovering from rehabilitation. I mean, I know Megaman was able to become a Digger from a young age, but come on, he's an Ex-Purifier Unit, that and he's had Roll by his side, and Gramps as well, to teach him. Tron was also quite capable at a young age thanks to her mech-creation abilities.
Then again, Ira did mention that she wished to travel the world, didn't she? I suppose with plenty of hard work, and the right connections, she'll have been able to make her way out of Kattelox and into her own adventures of sorts. It almost sounds like an idea for some Ira-based fan fiction.

I think even just seeing Ira as a digger would warm my heart. And if anyone wants to make some Ira fan-fic, I would be all over that.

Hey guys, Unity's picked this up now so go over there and check it out! Be sure to follow the links; the first article doesn't give much information, but there's a lot more in the pages for Type 1 and Type 2 entries. From the sound of it... it's exactly the way it sounded in the first place! And be sure to check out this page! :18: In the meantime, dig this image! [ EDIT: Also check out this page. Thought I'd linked it, but apparently not. ] Yayz. More stuff for my mml3 folder! Ye-EDIT: Finally finished reading and all I can say is YES. YES YES YES YES YES YES YYYYYYYYYYEESSSSSSS! This has finally done it for me. It feels real now. It's hard for me to say it, but as of this event I am, officially .. (you're gonna make me say it, aren't you?) .. hyped. And I don't care who knows it. Teomo City, here I come!

Yay, the island looks pretty good in 2D, and I could pretty much imagine Saphira being in that tiny image on the bottom right!
Anyway, I'm not one for coming up with bios when an image is given to me, so I'll just stay tuned instead. Good to see that there are Devroom watchers, because I'm just not one of them. lol
Hopefully the elements I see all over that island will be a little more passive this time, like what the majority? of the people want.
EDIT: LOL good post title Pitch, I just noticed that. ;D

Loken I don't think we'll be doing collaborations, so don't worry about that. If anything we'll be assisting each other in coming up with individual submissions, I think. But that's not the point. Go read this article. Now. Just do it. Don't read the rest of this post before you do. (anyone) Mikéy want to follow the devroom without having to go to Capcom Unity? Follow them on Twitter; that's how I do it. Hopefully the elements I see all over that island will be a little more passive this time, like what the majority? of the people want. Yeah, it looks like they're trying to cram a bunch of elements (or at least a few) into one presumably small island, which I don't really like, but if they're going for that, I have to imagine they're going for the one island approach at least, which in my book is full of win! Of course, we don't know anything for certain yet, but already this island is a bunch of things I was only just recently dreaming it would be. I am in love with this idea. :13: EDIT: LOL good post title Pitch, I just noticed that. ;D Glad you liked that. ;D I do silly titles pretty often actually these days... :22: (The subject of the setting of Legends 3 could be a separate topic all together, really...)

... I have no words for this. Really. Sure, the NPCs looked great already- even in concept art they retain their trademark style. But then I read the new intro blurb- odd sounding as it is, it gets the nostalgia flowing- and saw the intro for MML3's setting. Just...wow. I read that once, and I was instantly transported back to the world of Legends, back to that mysterious, open land of adventure...it fits that well. Beautiful. I'll be sure to submit a few entries to each event. Does anyone else think that their city sounds somewhat like Arne's concepts? Which is not a bad thing at all, mind you...

Something I saw under 'Diggers' was very interesting... you know that whole debate about Megaman's detachable arm or if he could take his suit on and whatever? It seems like all of us are right. It said diggers mechanize their bodies and that it's so commonplace in their society no one blinks an eye at it. I mean, obviously we've seen Joe's arm, or Barrel's head piece and Teisel's eyes, but this just reaffirms that the carbons can and do outfit their bodies mechanically; so maybe the whole special weapon/arm length discrepancy is accounted for after all.
