They haven't forgotten us:
From Mikeeb, of course. Of course, though, this could possibly be a run-of-the-mill reply, but you ask yourself.

Collaboration, you say? o.o There's an interesting idea. Maybe we could get the whole board in on this. (That way we'd get all our names in the credits if it won xD) Weren't we already talking about a certain Bonne machine we were going to try and get into the game? A little machine by the name of "Teiselschaft"? Well, the concept would have to be adjusted significantly to account for the guidelines of course, but this would be the opportunity to pitch it.

LOL Yes indeed, Raijin, and I hadn't forgotten about the Teisellschaft, but this seems to call for something different all together. I think it'd have to be tweaked beyond recognition to fit for this event. (Actually when I read about this my mind immediately went there.) XD Although that would be pretty cool. We should totally try that.

A giant LS collaboration would be AWESOME. I'm really with Pitch more on Teisellschaft not quite fitting this scheme, though.
Actually the first thing that came to my mind was something with electrical zappers that kind of look like Doc Ock's tentacles. The Bonnes would maneuver them over to the puddles or pools or whatever winds up being there and try to zap him while he's just standing around in this damp and probably flooding room.
Might be a good place to expand the vertical aspects of the ruins, too, if the Bonnes are crashing through the ceiling and the water level's rising. The machine could float on the water and electrify it, so Mega Man has to keep running upward as the room floods, dodge whatever the boss has coming at him, and stay out of the water.

It would also mean that there would have to be multiple tiers on which Trigger can move around, so that he can move around the room and dodge any projectiles and physical attacks alike. If the developers wish to organize the battle into stages, they can have the top of the room flare out and upwards into a square shape, which would be the final stage of the battle. Here, the water flow would stop, and the mech would unleash everything onto Trigger. The gist is that it would be themed much like an octopus, but with shockers instead.
Another potential mech idea would come in the form of a hydro excavator, which can use compressed water as an attack instead of using appendages and/or energy bursts. Similarly, RL hydro excavators already break through submerged areas, so this design would also make plenty of sense from the perspective of the context.
Overall, the Servbots would be providing supplementary fire, using cannons mounted on top of either possible vessel and firing bombs regularly.

Man, this stuff leaves room for a lot of ideas. If we wanted to go vertical about the fight there could always be spiral stairs so Volnutt can run up while the water and the Bonne mech are rising, depending on how big the Bonne machine is it could also it could also take the room's water inside itself to use it (as a pressurized water attack) and thus lower or up the level of water in the room. And if the room was flooded and there were servbots with little machines in the water you might even be able of using those machines as stepping stones to get around the room in the fight... Wait, do ideas for the battle count too or only ideas for the mech's design itself?
@everyone who also talked about shurukurusus: Large invisible shurukurusus with their own AI, you know you'd love 'em.

Well, this is quite the fun surprise, isn't it? This is a great idea, and I'll be sure to participate- in fact, I've got a half-decent idea of what to submit already. Although, with people like Arne out there it's going to be tough for sure. :22: On a side note, is that art of that crying Servbot in the profiles thing new to the internet? : o

Nah, all the art in the profiles is reused from previous games so far. All five of those Servbot images can be seen on page 8 of the DASH2 special selection booklet, for one thing.

They're in the Bonne profile part of the Unity post. The running. crying Servbot-the last one on the bottom right- was the one I though might not have been on the internet before (It's not on Legends Station for sure 0_o). Curious though, Raijin- do you have a link to any scans of the book, or any website that has that Servbot pose in particular?

The download for the Special Selection book was posted on the board a few months ago. I think fab made a newspost about it actually, so you can probably find it just by looking in the archives. In case you don't want to spend time downloading the whole collection, here's the page in question. Edit: The download for all the scans, as provided by MLT.

Wait, do ideas for the battle count too or only ideas for the mech's design itself? Based on what the meeting notes said I'm thinking both, but I could be off. I'm digging the water level modification idea, though, and keep picturing a two-pronged battle that starts in the room Yuji drew (where it's just kind of damp, not flooded), until the Bonnes break something open and cause a bigger cave-in from the ceiling, opening up a vertical flume with spiral stairs and a bunch of catwalks you can snipe the mech from above from. Only the thing's shooting homing missiles at you, and the catwalks aren't a very good place to circle-n-shoot to dodge them. Maybe they can even blow up in places where the Bonnes fire green energy balls at them like the Old City. Man, I've gotta draw this stuff out...I wish I could design robots...XD

I hate you guys, you stole my ideas! Get out of my mind!!!! :24: Well, now that i think about it, it´s a good idea, let´s make the best Bonne mecha on the whole MML series. providing our designs, maybe mixing them later.
I thought about the tentacles idea, what about if the mech attacks with one tentacle first, and as it is being defeated, it starts to attack with more at the same time, also, there will be times when one tentacle gets trapped on a wall, there´s Megaman chance to jump on the tentacle and run to the center/upper part of the mech where the bonnes are, that´s the part when Tron calls "close the hatch!".
I think i´m going to make a sketch and post it here so you can see it first and then we could start "assambling" it with other sketches you post.
And of course i will be glad if you let me model it on 3d.

3D modeling? AWESOME! >:] Yeah, I'm sure Capcom would clear it up later if there were some kind of rule against collaborating (though given the collaborative nature of game design, I'm pretty sure it's kosher). I mean, we're all pretty much a team anyway considering the amount of time we've spent hanging around each other waiting for them to make Legends 3 at all. I'm sure once we get through with it, with our skills combined we'll wind up with at least one very complete Bonne battle design doc in the end.
