I could totally see Tron planning that, actually. And when she does, she jams Roll's transmission so Roll can't hear what's going on, or say anything about it. >=) It'd be evil genius, really. Teisel would totally flip out, too. OH, the possibilities...

It'd be just like Manda--without the giant enemy crab destroying the whole village.

Perhaps they can do a segment where the Bonnes try to take over the Flutter, only to have their plans foiled by the Casketts, resulting in the Flutter crashing onto a remote island where they are all forced to work together on a chance encounter upon ruins.
The weapons storage is left in flames after the crash, (Emptying Trigger's valuable inventory of secondary weapons and upgrades...stop staring at me) so Megaman has no choice but to accept Tron's assistance in exploring the ruins for possible maintenance materials, or whatever.
This ends up in a semi-escort mission. (Tron can defend herself, but if her HP hits rock bottom you get a non-standard game over) One thing leads into another and the two of them get stuck in a pit together, having to wait for the Teisel and Bon to come after them.
No? Okay, but I thought it was cool...*sniff*
EDIT: Whoa, wasn't expecting to end up on the next page. You guys are a bunch of ninjas, I say!

Goodness gracious. You guys filled seven pages of this thread in one day! Anyway, I'd also love to see some fleshing out of the Bonnes family's backstory alongside whatever the main story is going to be.

Were the forums ever this active before Legends 3 was announced?
Well, with that said, I'd still like a function where you could control Tron and the Servbots with beacon bombs or something like that.
Actually, hey, the more playable characters, the better, maybe they could even have a VS mode or something.

Actually, I think the more playable characters there are in the main story, the more it detracts from the immersion factor, which was the thing that made Legends great first time around. Along that line, bogging the game down with too many extra multiplayer features and DLC might detract from the developers' focus on the main story, and water down the single-player experience a bit.
I really think playing as the Bonnes should be saved for another spinoff title, perhaps something a bit more in-depth than Misadventures was. This is, after all, Mega Man Legends 3, not Mega Man Legends Party, Mega Man Legends Brawlers, or Mega Man Legends Racing. :-\
And no, Hal, before the Hype Train pulled into Legends Station we had an average of three or four posts a day. Though admittedly the train showed up back in July and just got a brilliant acceleration boost with the Legends 3 announcement.

If any other characters were to be playable, the Sonic Adventure (1, not 2) formula wouldn't be a horrible idea. I honestly loved the way they handled that; the storyline of the game is the exact same, but you're simply seeing it from the perspective of another character. An unlockable "Bonne Mode" after you beat the game could be a nice addition. You'd actually get to see what the Bonnes are doing when you're not around; collecting parts, pillaging towns, etc. And then you'd have to fight Megaman off whenever he shows up. Of course, storyline-wise you'd lose the fights, but you'd still get the enjoyment of battling from the other perspective.

I wouldn't complain if the Bonnes were playable but I agree that the more focused this game is the better.
I'm pretty sure they will contrive something for the Bonnes to be "enemies" again. The game wont really be fun if Roll and Tron are BFFs and Teisle and Barrel drink tea all the time. But there definitely wont be any real animosity between the "enemies", there was barely any in MML 1 & 2.
I expect the interactions to be similar to the previous games. Like, the Bonnes lending a hand when it's a dire-apocalyptic-situation but some how manipulating the situation in the back ground so they can get away in the end with most of the spoils. I may be wrong and they may do something very disruptive with the story but I don't expect it.

I hope we get to play as Tron again for a little bit. Maybe as she pilots the Gustaff to rescue Trigger from Elysium.

Im wondering if Loathe will make a comeback, hes prime pirate villain material, and hasn't come up against trigger yet, would also lend itself to cooperation with the Bonnes given their prior experience
