I'm starting to sound like Green. Dammit, not this again. Seriously? Well I meant it as something like a compliment. Y'know, like Mr. Down-to-Earth, but I guess it just paints you as Mr Negativity.

Oh, well I guess I don't mind it then. People used to do that all the time, you see. And they didn't mean it as anything like a compliment. >__<For anyone who hasn't noticed in my signature, Capcom has a nice wrap-up of everything they announced at the TGS yesterday which makes each of their individual articles a little easier to find.. (and makes most of the link posting I did yesterday pointless x__x)

Green, earlier, you seemed to imply you don't play the Ace Attorney series. You should try it sometime. The defendant of the second case in the third game, which I think is probably my favorite case, maybe, talks very much like you post. Well, kind of similarly, sort of, I guess… Sadly, he reminds me very much of myself. Well, by "sadly", I mean it might be a good thing, but he's kind of a neurotic comic relief character, and I'm totally off-topic and I'M SO SORRYYYYYYYYsmokeeye123: I doubt Capcom would do Saturday's press conference or whatever it is without the Inafking!

It's only a little off-topic, really...
Yeah, I've never played Ace Attorney. Never even seen a gameplay video. That sort of thing doesn't really sound like my bag. Anyway, any similarity to my writing is purely coincidental.

My standing on the TGS having possibility of MML3 public day announcement:
From the start, I not only thought that is literally how they plan to unveil Inafune's 'oft-requested thing', but i knew it had to be soemthing like that.
If a Rockman DASH continuation came out, it'd likely make a major flare of hype and glory raise up in simply the first two letters of "DASH" due sheerly to the MML3 hype, and should it prove to be MML/RD3 then they hype will hit the roof, and keep going to space until it reaches Trigger and Yuna on Elysium lol.
Such a hype-up could only be done on a public-day announcement in effrot to keep up appearances.
Rest assured my fellow MML3 hopefulls: If MML3 is ever announced, it'll be announced on a public conference day!

I almost forgot about the hints he's been dropping that he's not making it, though.
(From August 11, 2010:) Anime News Network: People must ask you this next question a lot, so I apologize. Do you have any plans to make another Mega Man Legends game? Keiji Inafune: I do hear that question a lot, and it’s still very much on my radar. My big fear is that if we did start doing it, investing all that time and money into it, the fans would just say “we don’t need that.” If I do end up doing it, please support me and don’t change your minds halfway through!
(From July 23, 2010:) Among [the audience at San Diego Comic-Con] were many pulling support for Rockman, which really moved me. I was also happy that there are many desiring a continuation of Rockman DASH. I wanted to yell that I want to make it more than they want me to. I am truly grateful. As long as the fans support me, I’ll do my best.
That really makes it sound like he's not making it right now. Argh! I hate surprises! Hurry up with this "oft-requested" Mega Man game, will ya, Keiji?

Both of those interviews are interpreted by most people here as a lie or a bluff. Inafune is working on DASH 3, he just doesn't want to admit it yet, because he wants to surprise us, apparently. Those are the exact interviews Darfox and I were talking about over in the other thread the other day.. And the former is the original subject of the same thread.

Regarding Tokyo Game Show, the only thing I'm looking forward to (besides a possible announcement of RockMan DASH 3) is Senjou no Valkyria 3 -Unrecorded Chronicles-, which is a PSP game set during the same time as the first game, which was for PS3.
In my opinion, this series is one of those wonderful gems that never really got recognized, just like the RockMan DASH series. There's literally no video game or anime series like it. Very rarely do you see anything with such charm put into the characters, story, and world. In fact, the Valkyria Chronicle games are one of the best games I've ever played, right next to the RockMan DASH games. And you know that's saying something.

I'll admit: I am looking froward to any continuation of MMSF, simply because of the open-sided ending they gave in MMSF3.
If they give us MML3 of MMSF4 I'll be excited, but if it's a on-the-side continuation of either, I'll be just as excited.

The thing I'm most curious about is if Inafune's promotion even put him in a high enough position to give him the power he'd been saying he needed to get DASH3 in the works. With more people aware of the series now, I think it's more a matter of where Inafune stands in the company. If these past few months have proven anything, it's that the demand is there. Very there. And for some reason, (at least according to his blog post) there are still people ahead of Inafune in the management line who don't want to risk it. We haven't really got any idea of who it is or how many people are involved. For all we know, he could just be dealing with one -very- stubborn person. We don't even have a clear indication of where "Global Head of Production" falls in the Capcom hierarchy. Do we?

You think this is MegaMan Universe's "something green" that was hinted at for the TGS? Or did that happen already and I missed it? Personally, I liked the idea of Captain N MegaMan better if it is.

inafune... still climbing the corporate ladder after all these years. ;D i'd guess he is probably in a position now where he at least doesn't have to beg for forgiveness just for suggesting another megaman legends game to marketing and sales department CFOs. he should have made a radiohead-esque move and asked people to donate what they could to the cause. surely that would prove that there we are out here. i'm only half-kidding, of course. i don't think our little group here could raise 15 million, unless there are some 6-figure salary 22 year olds i don't know about! personally, i might go as far as decimating an orphanage of kittens to get megaman legends 3. side note: that embedded video above is causing wicked loading time for this page of the thread for me. anyone else?

That's undoubtedly what they meant, and like hell anybody was supposed to guess that. I've been saying MMU was being made with strong western influence, but now it's starting to look like another dose of that old Japanese insanity. Hopefully we can still even things out by getting some characters in there that pander to the nostalgia of our generation while leaving Japanese fans feel alienated and confused. It's only fair.
