On Legends' popularity: In Japan, the DASH PSP ports did pretty well. Each of them got a re-release(CapKore), and then the two of them got Re- re-released on a single UMD. Things are looking better for Trigger & co. these days. I won't go as far as to say that if people had more open minds they'd accept and love Legends here, but one of those Top 10 (Bottom 10?) lists was so 1998. The “It was awful because it wasn't really MegaMan!!” argument is way-past-m00t these days. Retrospectively the argument's valid, but it wouldn't hold up against a Legends 3. There are still reasons people might not like Legends, though. And that's okay. It's hardly on topic I suppose, but I noticed at RPM the other day (nearly a month ago, actually) some mention of why Legends hasn't been released on PSN. (yet) Apparently there are some licensing issues to clear up first (voice actors, music, etc). Maybe if that ever happens we can say for sure how Legends would be received here, eh? We haven't had a Legends re-release here in many years. It's hard to say whether or not people would actually like it. Other than the nobodies reading Top 10's posted by other nobodies. lawl (besides that, didn't someone mention that the Legends-releated replies to one of them buggers were mostly positive?)

Yeah, I always scour the MML-related commentary to all of the articles. I've begun to put more faith in the fans' opinions instead of the gobs of speculation and interviews saying, "Yes, we'd like to make a sequel to Legends sometime in the future," which I've heard emptily tossed around more times than I can possibly bear.
And since this video casts the series in a negative light, reading a few dozen comments from perturbed people claiming that they actually liked Mega Man Legends and 64 holds a bit more weight than any of Keiji or Capcom's hints have held in at least five years. Knowing that people have taken the time to defend Legends, even in its shoddy 64 port, and even if it's only a few misspelled words long, shows that there are other nobodies out there who wouldn't mind seeing more of the series. Seeing more good than bad in the commentary...now that's something. Though I must admit I didn't exactly count them.
And there's my $0.02 on the matter.

'Doubt it. Maybe you haven't realized this, but except for the people who have actually played the Legends games and know better, most people automatically assume that the Legends series is crap just because it tried to bring Megaman into 3D. I agree, I first thought legends was a joke, before learning about it.
