Then again, it wouldn't be a surprise announcement if he admitted that there were plans.

Second-most-requested game? I'm actually surprised about that, and pleasantly so.

DLC for a Megaman Legends 3 sounds godly for some reason. The possibilities of bonus scenarios and extra content...Capcom could go places if they played their cards right.
Hmm...would be nice of they added 'The Misadventures of Tron' to the PS store. It's a worthy classic in my opinion. ;D

Man, now I'll be hoping more than ever for a Megaman Legends 3. Everyone, be hoping/praying/making sacrifices/performing rituals/getting others hooked on Legends, Capcom can't ignore us forever (well, they can, but it makes for a better line ) May the force be with you and Keiji Inafune

If it's their second most requested game, there's obviously money in it. Sometimes I really don't understand this company. :/

It's only second most requested because the fans are so outspoken. However, Capcom (rightly) doesn't believe there are enough of us hardcore Legands/DASH fans to make the game a commercial success.

Nah, I don't believe that. It has Megaman in the title. People are gonna buy it whether or not there's a cult following, it's part of a much bigger and successful franchise.
The arcade game is dead. People want story and cinematics fed to them. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the guys screaming for a Legends game weren't just Legends fans, but grew up with the Classic series as kids and moved onto big sandbox game like GTA and so on.
Even if they didn't market it as Legends 3. Just make a spiritual successor using MT Framework like they said they wanted to do and the game would become insanely popular on its own merit.

'Doubt it. Maybe you haven't realized this, but except for the people who have actually played the Legends games and know better, most people automatically assume that the Legends series is crap just because it tried to bring Megaman into 3D.
It'd take a heck of a lot of media hype to get the game to push over a a thousand units. And with the way the gaming media treats the Legends series (it's one two lists of the worst 2D to 3D gaming translations), that is highly unlikely.
Hey, I'm just being realistic here. I'd love to see a Legends 3 get made, but I can full heartedly understand why Capcom would choose not to (or at least not make a big-budget console title out of it).

it's one two lists of the worst 2D to 3D gaming translations You mean won two, right? Not sure what to make of that. And transitions. Not trans lations. I've seen the lists and know who made 'em, their opinions mean nothing to me or a lot of other people. Bias people tend to be fascist. No one actually cares. And being realistic has nothing to do with it. The truth of the matter is that people are stupid and really have no clue what they want until they have it. Trust me, just because someone says a sequel would be a waste of time doesn't mean they won't change their minds later. If it's good and they're told to buy it, they will. Maybe you haven't realized this Oh, spare me. Everyone and their mom realizes. I'm no exception.

Actually, I meant to say 'on two lists', but close enough. I'm typing pretty quickly right now, and not properly spell checking my posts. Same reason behind the translation =/= transition thing.
Also, of course those lists aren't going to matter to us fans of the games being bashed. But the truth is, we are the minority. And appealing to the minority isn't a good way to get high sales figures, in my opinion.
I agree that humanity is stupid (which is something you can only say on a forum, I might add. Thank Gore for the electronic medium!), but I don't see what bearings it has on this particular topic. If anything else, it only strengthens my point, that people will remember how negatively the first three games are regarded and not even give a sequel a second glance unless it get positive attention from gaming journalism.
Also, I didn't mean to sound snippy in that last comment you commented on. Reading it from your point of view, I see how you took offense at it. Sorry 'bout that.

It's fine. What I'm trying to illustrate to you is that just because some nobody with a top whatever list says one thing and a bunch of other nobodies agree doesn't mean they're the majority, it means they win the internet, which isn't something anyone should be proud of. Unless someone does a thorough consensus, nobody knows what kind of popularity the games have made since they went off the shelves. There's no record for that as far as I know, and over the past few years I've been shocked to see more and more fans of the series. So who knows. Not Screw Attack, that's for sure. I just wouldn't take it at face value. The games are probably loved by more people than you think, with or without a bad rep'. Love = Nice sales figures. I agree that humanity is stupid (which is something you can only say on a forum, I might add. Thank Gore for the electronic medium!) I say it to people's faces, but whatever floats your boat.
