I wouldn't think that every letter would be under scrutiny, so don't worry too much about the preliminals, but I think this thread can really get moving again when fab and I get our entirely different letters back. His should mold the battlefield, and my, if its not entirely useless, should point us in the right direction letter length/type wise.

I read the letter on page 2, which was for pretty good. Has anyone considered a letter-writing campaign combined with an online petition, such as those from Petition Online? That we we can get a lot of names and email addresses to submit to Capcom!

I think there has been some talk of that, but I haven't received a response from my letter, and all signs suggest that fab hasn't either. Stick around, and well talk, but I do believe that soon were going to be moving forward, letters or no.

Yes, but it may take a while... it could eventually be answered but if so, not yet.

I just read this thread for the first time, and I have some suggestions. First, I suggest that everyone who does this does both a e-mail with a organization logo (be it Megaman Legends Alliance or whatever) and a snail mail TYPED (it must be for my next suggestion. Plus it's much easier on the eyes and appears to be shorter) letter with proper grammar and such. Next, send a copy of both the e-mail and the snail mail once a day for several days. If a bag full of MML's mail comes in once, that's pretty good, but for a week or so, they will pay attention. Also, since some of the people aren't as commited, I suggest that one person send a pettition from our "organization" with a list of people who would actually buy the game if and when it came out. Next, I suggest that when we are typing our e-mails and letters, we type out the full name of the game, not just MML or X7 as fab did in his letter. Which leads me to my final point. We should have a model that all letter writers should follow and we should write to that. If we all send the exact same message then they'll probably think that there's a kid out there who knows how to make lots of e-mail addresses in a short period of time and send them. This is a good example of what NOT to send to Capcom. I'm not trying to defame you or anything, it's just consturctive critisism. First, you said you were a good speller, did you not? What's with "ALOT"? It's "a lot". Next, why did you mention other game series? They don't care about them unless they make it. Also, they won't take you that seiously if you use exclamation marks and CAPS LOCK. You must sound professional, not just use good grammar. That's all I got (or remember). I'll post more as replies come. That's all you 'got'... That's all you 'have'? Anyway... I haven't even visited the Capcom site since I e-mailed them.

Here's an idea!
why don't we take fab's email and have a list of names attached to it. we would probably need a whole lot of names but if we got auto-reply we could just keep sending it till we got an acutual person. Each time we could change the subject a little so that they won't just delete it every time.

That actually called a petition, and that a very good idea. However if we make a petition we should reformat the letter. It doesn't have to be rewritten, it just needs to have listed points about who we are, why we band together, why they should remake the game, ect. But where should we put the sign-up?

That's easy! just put it on the main MLS page as an announcment and put up a link that go's to a poll counting mechanism. the you just put name and age, then click. another idea is to post it as a sub-forum on the main forum page.

Delays, delays, delays. Seems we keep getting pushed back more and more. Aside from still not having received a response, I'm now going out of town for a couple of weeks, so anything involving the MMLS aspects of these plans is on hold till I get back. BM1-3, please remind me of this thread upon my return and we'll get right to work on it for sure, confirm plans and put things into action, etc.
Sorry, this leave comes at a rather bad time for many things in my life, this just being one of them.

All right kiddes you heard the man. The BOSS is leaving town for a couple of days and I'm in charge. *Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha* Its party time and I mean PAR-TAY ladies. I got the chips you get the dip, and maybe we won't remember where we were when we wake up tomorrow... wake up in a tree with a headache to beat the band. Oh, wait, I think Feldinaughty's in charge... Oh, well maybe next time. As for reminding you, it will be done!

Based on the latest news, maybe we might get a new Legends game! It's good to know he hasn't abandoned it.

We 'abandoned' it because letter campaigns of the caliber were talking would just make a lot of people hate us. Its not the 'what can one group do?' question, because we could be a #*^# thorn in their @*(%@ side, but you can't win for losing, even five thousand dedicated fans who write letters aren't going to impress a bunch of heartless suits in Japan, what we need is blackmail... or we could kidnap a couple of children and... Woo... That's illegal on so many levels I don't even want to think about it...
So does anybody disagree?

Supposedly I was supposed to be the one to take this thread's idea and turn it into a reality... Everyone knows that I'm always running behind on a million projects, but I always try my best to come through-- better really, really late than never I say.
Along those lines, I've had this thread bookmarked in my favorites for months, and a reminder of it in my to-do list equally long. It's just that every time I think of doing something about it, I get discouraged. The sort of rise we're talking about would take a lot of work (time) to organize, and likely for unfavorable results. I was hyped up on the idea back when this thead was first started, but after my long and thoughtful letter to Capcom was completely ignored, it just made me feel helpless.
Even if we could get 5,000 people in on it like BM1-3 says, would Capcom even listen? More likely I fear that we'd be lucky to get 500. Imagine the impression that would give to Capcom, a pathetic turnout...
So, that's how I stand on the issue- still willing to try and make it work, if we have enough people to rally support, or, equally willing to drop the idea in hopes that Namco x Capcom is an indication that Legends will rise from obscurity...

I'll do some digging around the net to find some MM/MML fan sites and give you links(Since I'm no good at spelling so it would probaly hurt if I e-mailed.)
