I am so NOT going to join the military, especially when there is a war on. I watched some war movies, and I don't like how much have to suffer in them. Besides, I want to become a cook or a 3-D artist when I get the chance. And if I want to kill something, then I would play Star Wars Battlefront II.

most of those movies are about Infinture(I can't spell right) units. It's not like I'm saying my jobs going to be easy but you need people like me, who would join to protect you from a draft, so you don't have to. Plus I would do special forces but you have to be a very smart and I'm not the smartest person any way.

I wouldn't join the military in a million years. I can't stand violence, especially war, and I'd hate to be part of that, no matter how small...

I don't need to watch "Saving Private Ryan" to know that joining the military is not for me, with or without the Iraq war going on, with or without Bushie-Wushie at the helm, and with or without college benefits.
You can get through college on a crappy salary if you penny-pinch the hell out of it. Community college is for everyone and they do not discriminate on who they accept; usually, they'll take anyone who applies, unlike the opposite end of the spectrum like Yale and Harvard.
If you still want to go into military service, I am not stopping you, but I wouldn't advise it.

Manly job training to travel other than the other benefits I could care less.Plus I have a sense of duty for some reason like I'd probably take a bullet for one of comrades.

*scratches head*
I suppose that is up to you then. My folks joined and met in the military, but this was during peace times. They almost were shipped off to fight; creepy thing being that a station my mother would have been posted at should she still be in service had been bombed and destoryed, not a wonderful gut feeling.
Post-traumatic syndrome is not good. People come back from war fvcked in the head.
Be careful. :S

Thanks, good thing your mom didn't get shipped out. Plus you might not have been here if your parent weren't in the military. and most Air force base all far away from the most dangers places like Baghdad so I won't be as mess up... hopefully.
Plus if my dad wasn't in the military I would probably not be here either because my mom is from Illinois.

I don't think I would join the military, mainly because I'm not sure if Canada even has a real military. Really though, I wouldn't want to join, because I feel that I could so more than get my brain blown to bits. I guess the military doesn't appeal to me, it's not my thing.

Sorry rage, but I wouldn't count on it. My English teacher told us that with what's going on in Iraq, we may be drafted in a few years, but then again, what does my English teacher know, but I mean it wouldn't surprise me.

but then again Bush will be gone and a new president will come up and stop the Draft thing because that would piss off most of my friends because they don't feel like joining the army(yes you have to join the army if you are draft just incase somebody doesn't know that) and maybe you shouldn't trust your teacher.

I would like it if Bush took it upon himself to cease the Draft, but unfortunately, he was raised by chimps and found by military personel in the middle of a jungle... That freggin' draft, I swear, what the hell?
