Thank you for your comments! It feels pretty cool to see my work on the front page of a website. I was going to include Barrel too, but he didn't quite fit in anywhere. And if you look closely, Bon Bonne's shoes are missing..

Well, you all waited... and waited... and waited... and the kept on waiting... and then finally... you waited some more... and then, AimMan finished his Christmas submission! Here's a 600x400 for all of you. One thing that makes the pic pretty special is that my brother (still the Inspector here) and I actually did this one together; he did the Gustaff and mistletoe and I drew in the characters. It was fun, but lord, it was hard to make myself even do one layer of shading on this thing! Too many characters! Yeah, real crit here is that Bon should be bigger.

..XD I was going to do that with sprites, pretty much, but that looks a ton better than what I had in mind. That's pretty amazing. Everything looks awesome. The shadings really good - if it was really that much effort, then it was definitely worth it. Awesome. Speaking of the Inspector, he hasn't been around lately has he?

*rips out large clump of hair* SHOOT! That one’s good... Is that Gramps in the back? Hard to see him with Roll in the way. Love the Mistletoe. The shading and little Bonne symbols caught my eye. Same with the Gustaf. And the expressions are priceless, as always. XD Great work. Only other thing I might point out is that the Servbot is a bit large... Bon is fine though. It just looks as though he’s a little farther in the background. I’ll probably be working up to the last minute finishing mine... Hopefully I will be through with it tonight... Photoshop seems intent on halting my progress. *rips out more hair*

These drawings are all wonderful, but they lack someone very important. You know who I mean!! C'mon, her hair is green - that's christmas-y!! I'd do it myself, but all I can manage is my cheap lil sprite edit >_<

Really good! Teisel's expression is hilarious! Barrel seems to be getting shoved out of the picture though..

*kicks doors down* Got it! Right before the deadline too... And I apologize for the lateness. The entire world seemed to be conspiring against me... It took a full hour of button mashing just to get the dang thing up on photobucket, and even then it's not very good. I admit, I draw very slowly, so the coloring was a rush job. Noticeably. The image. For the contest. This one. Here. Mine. Look. i12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/mltmlt22/Legendsfinal2.jpg

That's very clever mlt, I really like that idea. Gatz helping Geetz put the star up, Juno's sled(very nifty design, btw), the Master's hand gesture... Yuna and Sera are a little out of focus though. I didn't even notice 'em there the first time I looked at it. And of course everything's wonderfully drawn and CGed. Very nifty.

Before this thread dies, I wanted to know what program everyone used to color thier pictures. For mine I used photoshop Elements 3, but I am curious to know what other programs can be used to color pictures. And if they are easier to use than photoshop. AND! A question for Fab!! For that Gesselshaft picture you made, (which is incredible btw) how did ink your lines so smoothly?

Ooh, my image is on the front page. And I get mentioned in the news! Neato. My coloring was done completely in Photoshop. Photoshop 7 to be exact. I’m an Adobe guy myself, and never did learn to use any other commercial-quality imaging program. In fact, I don’t even know elements... Checked it out once, but it seems to be about the same thing as Photoshop with a different interface. The text on the top was the only thing I used another program for... but I simply broke out the old command prompt and copied the font from there, so it’s probably not worth mentioning.

The Gesellschaft scene? Haha, everyone comments on the smoothness of my lineart. I use Corel Draw, a vector program. The precision is wonderful. ^_^ Oh, and I didn't draw a Christmas picture, but in case you're wondering, I also use Photoshop 7 for coloring.

Vectors.. I <3 those. Part of vectors' awesomeness is the fact that they're so smooth as opposed to rasters. I gotta get a good vector program.
My CGing is absolute crap but as that's mostly due to my lack of any artistic talent. I use Paint Shop Pro 7 which seems capable of doing all the coloring much the same as I saw it in fab's tutorial. Now if I coud just develop some talent(in drawing and in coloring mind you), I'd be set >_<
