Ok, I think many people have found reasons in some of the legends games for why they shouldn't be rated E. I'm not sure if the moderators will care, I will not in any way,say anything that I did not see or here on the legends games. I have more reasons than this, but I will only list one per game for now.
MML1- Go to the small library in apple market, where the old lady is... if you look at all the bookshelfs, one of them will say"There are dirty magazines on the rack... it might be fun to look at them... b-but there are so many people around I might get get in trouble if someone saw me."
MOTB- this is one I thought as nothing until I saw feldinauts zoom in. there is a bad gesture that the glyde cardboard cut-out, that I will not mention since it is inappropriate.
MML2 - This is a easy one, the Sera scene, at the beginning after you defeat the boss on the forbidden island.
I know there are others, but I want these ones to be open for discussion first, or someone could find new ones that some others may not know about. you may also want to post less violent, ect. that got rated teen even though its content wasn't as bad as legends. Maybe the E rating made it so less people paid attention to it thinking it was a game for a 4 year old. please post some of your reasons why you think this game shouldn't of been rated E.

The thing is, the ESRB wasn't as strict back then, so ratings were more down the line towards the E rating.
I mean, if you play Threads of Fate, they swear like crazy in the end, but THAT game's rated E.
The ESRB got a little more strict over time. So that's why games now are overrated (.hack) from what they should be.
Oh, and Servbot 40 is perverted. He sniff's Tron's bed in the JP version and the item you give him is a Porn Mag.

LOL, that completely contradicts the personality of all the servbots. MML2 had some nudity so they have no excuse there. I just think they may of screwed up when rating the game.

The nudity in MML2 only from the back, and they've shown that on TV pleanty of times. Either that, or it was implied. I think the subject of robbing a bank should have gottn MoTB a higher rating, but heh, I'm glad the ESRB wasn't so strict in those days, because I probably wouldn't have been allowed to play Legends. #40 is great fun to make jokes about, though. I could've sworn that the magazine rack said "There's a bunch of old magazines" instead of dirty ones... But I went back and played it again, and lo and behold, there it was! I guess it all had to do with the timing. Makes you wonder what kind of rating Legends would have gotten if it came out more recently...

The fact that nudity was unheard of in games to me back them scarred my fragile little mind. That was a mistake on the ESRB's part. I blaim the rated E rating for actually steering older fans away from this game. There were a couple of slip ups none the less in the rating system back then.

The Sera scene is not that bad... You don't see anything, so it doesn't really matter.

Thats true, but its still a not an age appropriate scene for rated E games. The only reason is that playstation graphics made it blocky, so that may excuse it, but that expresses sexual content in a rated E game. But I see what you mean, but it still should be under the Rated E sign(like language and all the other stuff the put below it.)

Now, don't forget the part when megaman stepped into rolls room while she was dressing. And i'm wondering about Tron's crotch plate on her pants. I'm thinking capcom is trying to put an emphasis on trons crotch.

I think that may be a little wierd in some details... un-needed details. Never forget when data told you to go clean up while roll was taking a bath, data is evil and funny because of that.

I think the games rating didn't drive as many people away as the new game play. I hated it at first, but I didn't want to admit to wasting five dollars on renting a game, and eventually I got used to it, and the story really sucks you in. There are a lot of 'stoned slackers' out there that will send a game back to the store after five minutes if they don't like it, and that's just foolish. I think the E rating should stay because if you aren't looking very carefully you won't notice most of the bad stuff, except for the back side of Mistress Sera . They don't swear, the bad parts are few and far between and if it wasn't for the deep plot it would be a kiddie game. Then again when it gets to the end of MML2 it could be rated M for Mature, meaning you're only chance of getting it (meaning the plot) would be to ask the old man of the mountain because he might know. If it hadn't been for my big ol', mother of all, extra large brain, I never would have figured it out.

I've had experience with the dreaded ESRB, they're like the RIAA for games. Three rules Nudity = M - A Mature to adult only, straight off the bat. Games with crack loads of puns and jokes of an older nature recieve the T for teens. Any game with out the above recieves the rating E. Unless it has love scenes like kissing and such.
Half of our work at RGEN entertainment has been cut out when relased in the US as opposed to UK. Don't see why MML2 woulden't be rated E. Theres nothing explicit about it.

With this game if you look for it, there are situations with nudity(though not exposed to the player, it still expresses the situation) The only thing I thought that was totally uncalled for was in MML2 when Megaman does his stance. The game is like a mix between teen and E, though a majority of it is E, there are portion that could of been rated teen.

Some times, I think the ESRB didn't even rate it, and just put the E on because all the other Megaman games were strictly E, and expected the game to be the same as the others.

Thats against the law, every game that is put on to a console or PC that is sold by disk HAS to be rated. I was watching how the ERSB rated, and there is no excuse that they missed the obscene images, and content. Also the dirty magazine you find in MOTB is also open for discussion here

Well back then the ratings weren't ever that high.Capcom probably decided that if they made a game that was meant for older aged kids they would lose alot of there child players.I would not rate a MML game any higher than E.If you look on TV you can see stuff equally as bad that only gets a TV Y7 or TV PG. Plus now adays rating are begining to get outragouse.Blood,a rated M game does not make.Oh and what the heck is with the T rating on SSBM.
