Megaman and Roll's true relationship

Yeah, i supose thats a good point, but if they DID have some sort of relationship, Proffessor Barrel would certainly have something you.

But i suppose I could say that if Megaman had to choose between Roll and Bonne, he would probably pick roll for 2 reasons:

1. Megaman actually grew up with Roll, and knows much about her.

2. Bonne is EVIL. Roll is GOOD.

Dude, you have no chance.. just walk away and pretend you didn't say that. Those two arguments have popped up in every one of these threads, usually around the beginning, and they've been destroyed in so many different ways that it's just not worth it for me to explain to you how incredibly wrong you are.

I will PM you some reasons. I want to point something out again, though:

This topic is not about Tron vs. Roll. It has nothing to do with Tron. The Subject at hand is whether or not Roll is in love with MegaMan.

Now let me see... I've got to say something on topic here.. Roll's never really expressed any attraction to MegaMan. Whole Lotta Love there is, but never really anything in a physical sense(which contrary to what you might want to believe, probably should be there). Anything like a “MegaMan looks so cute,” or I dunno.. “He's looking as gooooood as ever.” I can see how it might be there, and I don't on any grounds deny that it could happen, I just don't think it is there.

Oh, I get it that's what Tron says! Well, I'm not sure if she tells him he's cute, but I remember her saying he's looking as gooooood as ever.

And maybe Roll's too shy to tell Megaman how good he looks, if they were raised like bro and sis, I think she'd be a little more than timid to tell him how good his a** looks directly in front of him.

The "Jak and Daxter" series uses this type of relationship also. Jak and Kiera aren't related by blood, but they were raised together and have a thing with each other.

They were? Weren't they just like, friends, like Jak and Daxter? I figure it would be easier for Jak and Keira to express their feelings to each other than it would be for Megaman and Roll.

Anyway, all I can really say is that if you're going to argue that she's too shy to say something like that.. might I point out that you read her (theoretically) private diary, in which you'll find nothing indicating any real physical attraction to MegaMan? Apart from that I might suggest backing the idea up with some in-game evidence, but yeaaah..

Maybe she knows MegaMan's reading her diary. Back that idea up and you might have something there!

That being said, do you really think that Roll would write down in her diary how cute she finds Megaman's a**? or maybe she has several diaries stashed around in her room that Megaman hasn't found yet. And btw, the games don't give us an in-depth look at the Caskett family's lives, perhaps there are some mornings where Roll greets Megaman with a: "I like your hair" or "You're looking good today Megs."

I don't think Roll is in love with Megaman, maybe admire or used to him would be a good definition? Because I haven't noticed anything too close to love, maybe a slight crush, that would seem less fallible.
Also think about it, during any cut scenes including Megaman & Roll, have you noticed any nervous attraction coming from Megaman towards Roll? Frankly, I don't think there is any, but maybe the theory about Roll liking Megaman isn't as far-fetched as it seems.

Plus my general opinion about the whole Roll <3 Megaman relationship is that, they both seem more like brother and sister to me or simply really close lifelong friends. I feel that Megaman is neutral and finds Roll as a close friend or quote "maybe" a sister but the tables seem rickety when it comes to Roll.

Who knows, I guess we'll never get a clear idea of what's going on in that category unless Yoshinori Kawano decides to give us all an overview (in the form of Manga) about this all. But I don't think he really has the time for it, so all we can do is hope.

If it's not there, it never happened: that's my way of looking at it. Because really.. it's not like these are real people, you know; what doesn't happen in the games, doesn't or hasn't happened yet. All that there is is what Capcom tells us there is; the rest of that junk belongs in fanfiction.

If we're going by things we think might've happened, I could reasonably argue just about anything. Sooooooo: Roll doesn't like MegaMan physically, because SHE might've walked in on HIM in the bath and .. well I'll let you guess the rest.

I was just kidding around of course, anyway. I would seriously doubt that Roll knows MegaMan's reading her diary(it would certainly be something if someone could prove that though). And, no maybe she wouldn't specifically write about how cute she finds MegaMan's butt , but she literally doesn't have anything even close to that in there: nothing she says out loud, or in the privacy of her diary expresses any physical attraction to MegaMan. So, thinking that she's just too shy to express it.. I would kind of doubt.

Again, it's possible, just nothing in the games leads me to believe it. And there are too many “Maybe”s to argue..

But does the absence of Roll's physical appreciation for Megaman deny the fact that she may be in love with him? Maybe she doesn't want to say anything as of yet, maybe she hasn't found the reason to say so yet, in person or in her diary, or maybe Capcom screwed up on that part.

I just think it's something that should be there; it would certainly make this thread pretty unnecessary wouldn't it? If Roll had said anything like that, we wouldn't be left wondering if she was in love with MegaMan, eh? All her expressions of love toward MegaMan couldn't really be considered Ambiguous(“Oh, well she just loves him because it's like a partners thing,” or “Oh, well yeah, they're brother and sister,” all your “Yeah, she loves him, that doesn't mean she's in love with him” type things) if she actually had some attraction to MegaMan that way. So, in a way, it becomes the key thing to argue here, I suppose; but really you can attack it from other angles, too: I wouldn't deny that.

Will we ever know? For sure?: probably not. Umm.. said it already, but, as I pointed out before, there's a chance if Rockman DASH: Crappy Cell Phone Game is canon, maybe they'll have some definitive piece of evidence in that. I personally think every argument from Legends, Misadventures, and Legends 2 has been thought of, used, and countered pretty thoroughly. I really kind of doubt that Capcom actually wants to resolve it. I'd venture that if Legends 3 — if it ever even happens, doesn't have MegaMan make a choice between the two of 'em(or someone else), it'll probably never happen. Just my guess. Legends 1 mostly seemed in favor of Tron, Legends 2 kinda tried to push Roll into the picture, so I'd figure Legends 3 would either drag someone else into the game, or try to confront the issue from both sides.

Will Legends 3 -- a REAL Legends 3, ever happen? I doubt it; Inafune's just gonna keep buying time, and we're gonna keep buying his excuses, even though he's come flat out and said he CAN'T get the game made. So yeah.. I'd say the odds of us finding out for sure whether or not Roll's in love with MegaMan are slimmer than our odds of getting Legends 3.

Yeah, i have to admit, that although it seems that Roll DOES have felings for Megaman, of some description, it has to be debated wether these feelings are of a 'Boyfreind' nature, and wether Megaman has the same feelings, and wehter if he did, would Roll and Megaman actually get into a relationship, and wether Tronne would do anything towards them if they DID get into a relationship, as it IS obvious that she has feelings of love towards Megaman, but its not a question of wether Tronne loves Megaman, its a question of the feelings between Megaman and Roll, and to actually get anywhere in this arguement, we will have to wait until LEGENDS 3.

Stupid Argument: Roll's "tee-hee-hee"ing all the time is unnatural for brotherly-sisterly love unless she wants to get herself and Mega into legal trouble. Heh.

Of course, who says that Terra has an official government law as specific as that, especially since the world's people are separated by water? I told you that was a stupid argument. ...Well, maybe semi-stupid. It depends.

I see it as romantic to be honest. I can see it both ways, but something about doesn't really seem so brother and sister. He liked looking at Roll in the tub, Roll telling Megaman how she feels in different parts of the game, and The "secret" in her diary. I just get more of a romantic feel off of it.

I don't know why I'm saying this, but...

Something I noticed in MML2's Nino Island intro caught my attention. It's the part where the Flutter has just been "damaged" and landed at the dock, and the Guildmaster and Johnny are running up to MegaMan and Roll. For some reason, Mega seems to feel a threat and he steps in front of Roll, shielding her partly with with his body and outstretched hand, while Roll looks flustered and semi-worried. Is it MegaMan defending her because of his concern for her???

Wow. That proves nothing. But maybe you guys could elaborate on this. I know it'll probably just leave you clueless, as this has no argument structure, but maybe you'll see something in it that I didn't see. It just kinda intrigued me. I guess I just wanna believe that our blue hero has a girlfriend after all, so don't shout at me for giving a weak argument!
