It seemed appropriate to start a little place for me to share things that I've been compelled to draw from time to time, starting with this thing which I hope some of you will find as amusing as I did. I can guarantee that additions to this thread will be sporadic at best but I have been trying lately to flex some long atrophied creative muscles, as it were. Everyone here is great and open about sharing things Legends has inspired them to make and though I'm not the most active type of forum user I'm thrilled to finally be a part of it all, honestly.

Glad you're making some Legends art! Whether you took the picture with your phone or scanned it with a scanner, when you have a two-tone palette that's just black and white, it often looks good when you adjust the brightness and contrast settings to make the white and black parts very crisp...but then if you did that, you'd run the risk of losing the paper texture, which I like, too. Was that on white paper in low lighting, or was the original paper a mid-tone? If it's a mid-tone paper to start with, it could also be neat to add highlights in white-out to give it some kick. Keep making art, we're thrilled to have you!

Dashe: It was definitely shot from my phone (a sin, I know, but I still need to get a working scanner to my new place, haha). All good points, I love when people use mid-tone paper for highlights. This was very much a situation were I was trying not to overthink what I was doing, but some contrast probably would've been a good idea, haha. Do you have a background in art, you seem to know a lot of design stuff?
Digouter: Haha, I knew somebody would understand! Also, yeah! That's a lot of water to draw, though.

Yes, I have a background in art. I don't particularly enjoy doing it these days, though.

Yes, I have a background in art. I don't particularly enjoy doing it these days, though. Not that I know any details, but I think I can relate. Doing art used to be something I did for fun until college. Trying to get that feeling back is, uh, challenging.

Regarding getting the feeling back, I can relate to that ehehe. And no worries about taking pictures of your art, I have to do that as well since my old scanner broke loooong ago. I suppose the biggest issue for me then would be to make sure that the angle is just right x)
I'm much more likely to get a new phone (since mine is junk now) over a scanner just for the sake of practicality, so I'm going to be stuck taking pictures of my art for the foreseeable future haha. And if we're going to draw a world covered in endless water the trick is to just draw ALL the water

Thankfully, phones allow you to adjust the brightness and contrast right on there, too!
