Over the past year, I've been trying to write a continuation of Megaman legends and so I've been doing a lot of studying into it, going as far as to analyze almost every bit of dialogue I can find.
One line in particular that confuses me is something Yuna said at the end of MML 2:
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Yuna saying that hypothetically if Sera was to be destroyed, the Elder System would instantly be reactivated? I know she says that will take some time before it is completely active, but is Sera some sort of final lock keeping it from reawakening (the first being Elysium which is now offline)?
Or is she saying that if Sera was destroyed, there would be no one left to monitor ES? I'm kind of doubtful this, as Yuna seems to possess some sort of knowledge that ES is now starting to reactivate. But then again I have to stop and ask myself that is my first theory is correct, why do Yuna and Sera seem eager to go to Terra to live with the people the master left behind?
What do you think of all this?

My guess is that Sera's job, among other duties, is to delay the Elder System's reactivation by reprogramming a certain "timer" whenever is necessary, you might understand better (or get some ideas) if you read my short fanfic I wrote some time ago, it's called "The Master's life" or something like that. Basically the Elders went into cryogenic hibernation and they set a certain time limit to awaken, if that were the case, Sera is there to do what the Master used to do when he was alive. Yuna and Sera basically kept doing what they were programmed to do while The Master was Alive because technically they can't think or act against that programming.
