youtu.be/Q3iEn5rzMnwAVGN talks about the Megaman games, but at 13:50 he starts talking about Legends. He gives his thoughts on the game, which mostly negative, but this series doesn't appeal to casuals and that's understandable. What did you think? Agree? Disagree?

This series totally appeals to casuals...to the point where it is, to date, the only video game my otherwise "normal" sister has cared about enough to play to completion, had me convinced I liked gaming a lot more than I really did, and somewhere along the line my mom got involved in it, which is definitely way out of left field. AVGN is clearly too core for Legends. It's like he didn't even notice Ocarina of Time came second.

There was strong Legends support in the comments section of that video. There are strong opinions both ways.
AVGN acts like controls are undoable, but they serve an important purpose: pre-dualshock (dual joystick), any other button setup would have required "klawing" to fire and strife and aim (klawing: using your pinkys on the bumper/triggers and your fingers on the xost buttons).
Compared to "The Crow", you see youtube videos of gameplay fluently and fluidly executed for Legends. People play it and love it, proven on footage. You don't see that with "The Crow".
Also, I'm offering Mike (collaborator in AVGN) closer to around the week of the MM and the Legends anniversaries, via email or however, the suggestion to play some Megamaker and some Legends on livestream.
On that note, I know a decent control scheme (moving shooting buttons to top buttons), but in the event that emulation is unacceptable, does anyone know reverse-joker commands or the such to remap buttons via gameshark on real psx?

Dashe: I meant casual like how niche Legends is compared to the Classic and X series. But that's good. My older brother played Legends 2 and soon I got hooked as well. And good to point that out about OOT and how it came after Legends so of course their control scheme would be better.
ShadyRounds: I mentioned in the "disappointed" topic that Legends' weak point is the controls but like you said, it's certainly not as bad as he pointed out. I mean ever played Turok 2? That game's controls are slippery as heck and frustrating. Hope you are successful in your mission.
And I was glad to see many Legends fans in the comments. Usually if you have a big YouTuber, people would blindly follow their opinion and treat it like absolute fact, which is annoying.

I personally don't care what AVGN says, I like Jirard The Completionist, he has proven to be a Legends fan, in some videos you can see a poster of Volnutt on the moon, in others he uses the apple market's BG, and one of firsts videos was actually a review of Legends.

Eh, I respect James Rolfe, the AVGN is just a character anyway but the man behind it tends to favor things yet realize he's biased and most games unless heavily flawed are actually beloved by a different crowd. Him and Mike are usually purists, but I think Mike who does streams can be convinced at this point of playing every Megaman under the sun already, to play some more for this anniversary, and even wander into Legends territory (they showed a disc in that AVGN, that means between them, one has a copy).

Honestly, I never take any reviewers let alone AVGN seriously and I made this topic because I thought it was cool to see a notable YouTuber give this game a mention. Even the complaints felt like he played the game for 5 minutes and that's it. So let's hope the game is given another chance.
