Didn't know where else to really post this, but seeing as how it's relevant to the 'Livestream' topic I might as well post it here. So Mojang is doing something different this year for Minecon, their annual Minecraft convention for fans of the game... They're not having it.WHAT THEY ARE HAVING, HOWEVER, IS MINECON EARTH, a ninety-minute livestream that anybody can watch online and go to select screening events (to be announced soon) to see. Details are here.It looks like they've finally reached the point where a huge convention is not a feasible thing for the game. I knew this would happen eventually.

If you can't find the right thread to post in, MAKE A NEW THREAD, PLEASE. The Livestream thread is for if an MMLS user wants to stream a game, and the current size of our forum community is more suited to having lots of small threads instead of adding onto large threads, where posts are apt to get lost or conversations are apt to be derailed, at this time.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. I like the idea of an online convention at its core, but I loved that people were meeting up in real life and whatnot as well, and definitely wanted to participate in that if I could get together the funds to.
I'd definitely want it to be more than 90 minutes long. >.>
