I'm guessing those goons are Amber's? Very versatile shape. Kind of Metroidy. I like it. I'd probably name them something like marbles so we can make bad puns about losing our marbles if they go rogue, but if anyone else has suggestions, they're probably better. I'd just lean away from the suffix -bot, since it's way beyond overdone for the series.

Speaking of! This'll be the first time I'll be posting concept art of someone in their full outfit, inked and colored too, and it's thanks to you Dashe . Taking time to get some nobody like me to get off her butt and try colored pencils haha.




No doubt, Amber's a favorite character of mine... well actually, they're all my favorites haha x w x

I've been working on the story bit by bit the past few days too! I'm hoping to get Chapter 3 out soon x)

Ahahaha, this was something I drew up a while back, and was never really meant to be inked or colored, which was why I deepened the pencil strokes... I kind of regret that now haha.

I had a bit of a workout trying to erase and ink, and the paper kind of took a beating, but the end result isn't so shabby!




Had to be extra careful inking because the paper wasn't in a good state from erasing the pencil... I was honestly going to color this with pencils now too, but because of the sorry state it's in, I don't know if I can do it! I might give it a try and probably ruin it in the process, but I think I'll attempt sometime anyways x w x.

In any case, halcyon days people!

I like many of the designs that you posted here. It is always interesting to see what sort of designs others come up with using the Legends world as a basis. Very nice!

It's been a really long time haha... a lot's happened eheh. Though I feel one of the more important things that happened is I was driven to appreciate all the things I held dear from way back - including this one.

I'm sharing a sketchy, but this one isn't from Superanka, it's my very first OC for Megaman Legends that I made right after I finished Dash 2 which was late-ish 2000 I think. I hadn't drawn him in more than a decade, so it felt good to modernize him a little. The design is a mix of Legends 2 and the finalized Volnutt armor from Legends 3!





It's been a rough year for everyone, and if I learned anything, it's to hold onto my old passions and enjoy the things we used to. Megaman Ray is a faulty copy of Trigger that grew in Elysium on par with Megaman when he restarted himself as baby Volnutt. The idea was that everyone in Elysium had an original copy which is used to replicate them when they go rogue or die, but Trigger's was corrupted, and all that happened in Elysium resulted in Megaman Ray eventually awakening in Terra (sorry I'm so rusty with the lore these days ; v ; ). I might actually revisit the idea haha. I hope you've all been doing well - we can do this!

Congrats on overcoming the lefty slant, and it's great having you back and seeing the art again! If you think you can knock out something on the idea and the concept's been weighing on you again, there's no time like the present. Inspiration needs to be tackled to the ground and held onto for dear life when you can get it. There is a major novel-writing event coming up in a few weeks, after all, and it's about quantity, not about whether it's fanfiction or not...

Eheh, I still have the lefty slant if I'm not thinking when I draw... but yeah, I feel like I'm home haha.

You once told me that inspiration is something that isn't always going to be there and we should push forward anyway, and I believe you. I wasn't too sure what to do with Ray since I have this kind of embarrassment with him, having made him when I was 12 or something haha. When I drew him out of the blue, I was surprised to see that this is probably the very, very closest I've ever been to the artstyle I wanted for him all those years ago. Inspiration wasn't there at the start, but it guided the hand close to the end eheh ; v ;

I'm also considering the potential to turn this fella into a Megalass in the event of a revival, but that's still up in the air. As far as that event, it's not just something for people under 18 yeah? I've bookmarked it and I'm going to comb through it after work x)

Adults can do it too, yes. There are actually retired people who participate so there's no age limit that I know of! And yes, sitting down and waiting for inspiration to strike is a good way to get absolutely nothing done on any project you have ever. You have to grab your project by the shirt collar and grind it into a finished state manually, like trying to get through a free-to-play mobile game without ever paying money.

Pfffhahah, funny you should say that since I've been playing a crap ton of Genshin Impact but as a f2p, so I know that feel x). It's a silly thought, but maybe working on Ray's story might actually help me push Superanka further.
