I had recently watched a new movie that came out yesterday, Equestria Girls 3 and one scene just made me want to post a topic. What are some of your favorite musical scenes from various movies currently this is my favorite one.
It was a pretty big nostalgia hit for me because I grew up with tons of disney movies in the house before we had cable, and this whole scene reminded me of the old villain songs that were always interesting.

Oh, nice. I can tell they used Cell Block Tango as their source material. As far as animated movie musical numbers, mine's Go the Distance from Hercules. It's like the most epic weird kid anthem ever, and when my high school decided my class would graduate to some crummy song I can't recall the name of, I just went, yeah, nope, as far as I'm concerned I'm just going to pretend they're playing Go the Distance instead. I regret nothing!

Huh, that wasn't that bad I haven't watched Hercules since it's not really my type of movie but the song was pretty good.
My main Disney movies were The Little Mermaid 1&2 and The Lion king. I think the Equestria Girls song largely reminded me of the lion king, though I can't place which one I haven't watched that movie in years or the others for that matter. Eh, I feel old now.
I think my favorite part of the Equestria Girls song was Twilight's lines. It added quite a bit of atmosphere to an already atmospheric song. The scenes after the song were great as well but they also contained a lot of spoilers so I didn't link the full version since it's still a new movie.

You're probably thinking of either "Be Prepared" from Lion King 1 or "My Lullaby" from Lion King 2. If I had to take a stab at it, I'd guess it's the former. It has that foreboding sense to it. I'm honestly surprised they'd made three Equestria Girls movies. Little Mermaid was really fabulous. Especially Ursula. "Poor Unfortunate Souls" used to creep me out so much as a kid I made my mom skip the CD track whenever it would come up in the car but now it's probably my favorite number in the show. Especially after they added all the extra songs in for the musical adaptation. If you thought Poor Unfortunate Souls was over the top, Ursula's "I Want" song makes that number look like a stale documentary on pocket lint.

Yeah, after Equestria Girls 1, Equestria Girls 2 and 3 did much better. 1 was kinda awkward but still good. 2 was great and 3 is my favorite. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjmsThcOGTQThe sirens were pretty good villains in the 2nd movie every song fit their attitude. Though I'm the cheesey type to prefer the main character's music over theirs. The movies did well rating wise if I'm correct. I haven't heard the little mermaid 1&2 songs in years wow. I still need to collect all these movies on DVD/Blu-ray. I still have a VCR but I never use it or their tapes anymore.
