And still no sign of Santa Melty. Guess we got on the ball a bit too early? Hey, you guys aren't supposed to start this until like a week before Christmas. Waiting until the last minute and then rushing the event out the door is an important part of the tradition. I'm certain I don't need to elaborate upon its significance. Also, I must say, I am shocked by your revival of the "There are no prizes" line. Mostly because I didn't think people who read my SS intro posts actually existed. Maybe I'll go hunt down Bigfoot as well, since I'm having such good luck finding mythical creatures today. Try to keep the streak going. literal paint's okay as long as it's literally just paint. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I'm clear on this. Is the distinction here that you just can't use lines? Would digital painting be alright as well then, as long as you don't start with a sketch or something? Anyway, totally in on this again. My request: "I double-dog dare you."

Would digital painting be alright as well then, as long as you don't start with a sketch or something? Digital paint's one of those weird gray areas. I don't know how we'd be able to tell if you used a sketch or not. Chances are very likely that the weirder and less like previous Secret Santas you make your medium of choice, the safer you'll be in this regard. Mikéy, since you're being MLT this year, it's your call on where digital painting really falls.

I was wondering when that time of year would come! I think I have mine fleshed out, with a little bit of a guideline to how to draw it. Santa Luchador Tron, Quackendriving Roll.

I'm gonna go with this on Digital Paint: *No using a paintbrush tool or a pencil tool*. Since Dashe has stated that actual paint's okay to use, I'll allow the majority of other tools found in image programs to be used, just as long as they don't act like or look like a pencil or paintbrush in any way, like clone-stamping. Straight-line tools can't be used either, although, if you can make your Secret Santa look legit entirely with shape tools, then I wouldn't be able to penalize that with a clear conscience because it's clever. Make sense? Overall, if your cleverness can outweigh your need to use tools in a digital art program that don't act like a paintbrush or pencil, then I'd say you're safe. You'd be extremely safe if you went with a medium outside of digital art that's clever in itself like paper-crafting, or folding. If you have to color objects to make a 3D piece of art look more Legends like, then there's no penalty to be had at all since that you're not really drawing in that case, but adapting and building. I don't think this premium requirement means to bring back the whole "do your assignment in a non-digital, visual medium that cannot be scanned" requirement, but if you decided to play off of that requirement from two years back, then you're definitely in the clear. All of that being said, please don't go out and buy paint, an easel, and a canvas just for the sake of this event. The last thing I want is for this event to look like a pay-to-be-awesome sort of deal because of a golden badge. Some of the thoughts I'm getting with the responsibility of SS are a bit much. The idea I have for the premium requirement on a digital medium depends highly on a Legends-oriented assignment, so if I end up getting a holiday-oriented one, I may just have to forgo the premium badge altogether, or get even more complicated. Just think outside the box if you're stuck with digital mediums and want to fufill the premium requirement! E: Handlebar-Orion X., based on the images I see when I Google "Luchador", I'm gonna have to conclude that your request is an invalid crossover. If you want to change it, please feel free.

It doesn't have to look like any established name or showcase any promotion, just think of an original, generic, Santa hat themed lucha mask and outfit and you're good to go. it's christmasy enough.

It looks really specified to a non-Legends theme to me nevertheless. If you can get a different staff member to back you up, then I'll gladly allow it. But the way I see it, a wrestling costume plus a wresting move is no doubt a crossover. The wrestling move doesn't necessarily bother me, but requesting poses is still in bad taste. That kind of thing should be up to the artist.

It's no surprise that I'm low on time and artistic inspiration, but that's never only stopped me once before so count me in. It's holiday tradition, after all. Request: Christmas Evesince I'm having such good luck finding mythical creatures today. Try to keep the streak going. Done and done.

I've been tinkering with request ideas for a week now, thinking of various interesting, ambiguous, situational phrases in the MLT fashion... In the end, I decided to go more direct: The Misadventures of Bon Bonne

So, who do we send the projects to, once they're finished?
