My brother just went to junior prom. It's pretty much just a very expensive dance. I think I've got this.
High school prom tickets are usually sold at the host school to registered students. If she wants to go with you, she'll have to be the one to hand the money over for the tickets, so she has to say yes or you won't be able to go to the prom.
So really it's G#1 who'd need to know the details, which are probably going to be very readily available to her and G#2. All you need is the yes and the money. If she says yes, then find out what color her dress is going to be, and rent a tux and buy some prom flowers that match it. For straight couples (in which one party wears a dress and one party wears a tux) the party in the tux puts the smaller bunch of flowers on their lapel and the party in the dress straps the larger bunch of flowers on their wrist.*
G#2 probably has a binder full of all of this information stashed away somewhere including explicit instructions for you to follow so you don't have to think too hard about it. Those matchmakers can be very handy when it comes to proms.
*The place where I went to high school, at the time, had a very good arts and theater program. There was a lot of variety in prom attire and types of couples.
