I would like to point your attention towards this neat event. It caught my attention as soon as I read about it and despite not being able to participate, I still believe that it is a great idea and a good way to raise awareness towards gamers with special needs. So basically what this is is a way for game designers to shift their attention towards gamers with disabilities and make games that work around them, be it motor, visual or hearing disabilities, there is always some sort of barrier in some games. Designers will be given a theme by May 11th, in which they must base their game on. The best part is that there are no prizes or awards. It is all a good manifestation of the good will of helping those with disabilities to enjoy a good game. You can find more on their homepage: jams.gamejolt.io/accessibilityjamYou will also find press conferences about the topic and information about current games, as well as resources to help developing said games. P.S. - I am definitively not a game designer but this game me ideas nonetheless. Still, I think things like these are important to know, right?
