My facebook wall's been full of news about this Flappy Bird game that recently got pulled from some cell phone app store or another because of a ton of controversy of some sort. I don't actually have a smartphone, so I didn't get a chance to give it a shot, but I kept hearing it was hard as whatever. Eventually a play-in-browser clone called Flappy Doge came up, no smartphone required, so I figured, hey, might as well post it here since you guys know I can't even get through the first level of Super Mario Bros. intact. While I can't exactly vouch whether it's a solid copycat or not, having never played the original or anything, the highest score I managed to get was 3. I don't think I'm going to score much higher than that, but I'm glad I didn't pay money for it.

...Well, I got a score of 5, so I'll call my life complete. I'd probably want my money back too.

I grabbed Flappy Bird before it taken off the app store and Flappy Doge is a very good copycat of the game. Never scored a single point on Flappy Bird but got a score of six on Flappy Doge. Sorry Mikéy and Dashe Flappy Bird was free, no cash back. Though if eBay was allowing people to sell the smarthphones that had Flappy Bird on it, you could make some serious cash.

I just scored 11 and won the medal, which you probably get at 10. This game is like an exercise in becoming comfortable with constant failure, but it IS possible to get better at it by doing it enough times. Like everything else, really. Less than an hour ago I didn't think an 11 was possible for me. So, uh, I suppose this is a must-play for anyone in their twenties.

This game is way harder, you die even if you get close to the pipe. I don't understand why people would buy phones with the game on it when you could just download it on other sites that have the .apk file still and for free.

I went and read a quick news article about the original games removal and the creator. People were actually becoming highly addicted to this simplistic game...? Enough for the creator to become stressed by the movement, and remove it?
I think I have to question peoples priorities in life...
The game is okay (judging on the flash version here), but I swear i've seen the same idea done before...at the least it feels like a dumbed down version of Tails' Sky Patrol.
