This is the discussion thread for Seeteufel the Mighty. If you have any questions about the game, be they about the gameplay, technical help on running the game, help with the source code, or something else, feel free to ask us here! Here's a link to the game at Sky Pirate Arcade. In addition, you can access the game's source code at our GitHub repository, located here. All original sprites created during development are here. Big thanks to Dash Myoku for providing us with a 16-bit style remix of his Seeteufel theme! You can listen to the full version here. Other tunes by Dash are located in his official thread. For those interested, prototype versions of the game can be seen/experienced at these links: WIP1 and WIP 2.

Okay. Here is one question: Are there really any secrets in the game like the Sky Pirate Arcade page says that there are?

Yes. Mostly in the form of weapon enhancements. Not all of them are terribly well-hidden either.
I think Chiz found all of them except one unreasonably well-hidden one. Not sure how far anyone else has gotten.

If they're not well-hidden then I must be going blind. >_< I haven't even found one. I wasn't even able to do that unlockable trick upon beating the game once.

Same here. The hiding spots must be very subtle in appearance to be able to slip by most of us. Cripes, where's a Konami Code when you need one?

Ah, well. I suppose this isn't giving away too much.
You can sometimes receive codes upon beating the game. What code you get depends on what you've already unlocked, as well as how well you did. You can enter codes on the pause screen. A list of what you have unlocked will appear in the upper left (under where the FPS reading is, if you have that on). The conditions for getting the codes aren't too tricky, but may still take a few attempts, unless you happen to be abnormally good at this.
There is actually only one unlockable weapon hidden in the maps; the rest need to be unlocked via codes. But yes, it is a bit subtle.

Interested in seeing how the game looked during the earlier stages of its development? Then wonder no more, as the first post has been updated to include links to two early prototype versions. Check it out above!

Seeteufel is to Mighty for me, almost get it down to zero health and then I get pummeled back to the beginning. One day I'll beat this pink machine of doom!
