I noticed that the Mighty No 9 forums while functional, are kinda buggy and not exactly a "forum." It took me hours to log in, (turns out I just forgot there was a period at the end of my name, ) and it can't accept BBCode. Plus it didn't have an edit button until today, and there's no delete button for when you make an introduction thread for yourself, accidentally ignoring the "Obligatory introduction thread" on the right hand side. Then again, it is a brand spanking new forum so I bet they'll fix everything within a few weeks.

So, it looks like the MN9 team is starting another funding campaign. From what I can see, their stretch goals are English voice acting (for $100,000), a documentary, and even an animated series. Personally, I believe this is an unnecessary move, with Concept putting an entire chicken coop into one basket. I mean, we've yet to see much about the game itself, and now a cartoon adaptation is already being discussed? You've already raised close to four million, Inafune! Don't get overzealous and greedy! Edit: Whoops. Forgot the trailer for the cartoon!

I dunno, the cartoon actually seems like a smart move. They've got a solid base for nerdy adults right now, but nothing to really target kids. You know, like most of us were when we got hooked on this stuff to start with? This actually might help.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but merely that having it fan-funded before the original material is even released is. The Ruby-Spears adaptation of Mega Man was released seven years after the series' advent.

Oh. Well, that's definitely a silver lining. I'm still a liiiitle iffy about needing $100,000 for voice acting. VAs aren't that expensive. Unless you're hiring a celebrity VA. e.g. Kiefer Sutherland

100k is 1/40th of what they got out of us. I'm just wondering how many people who care and have money haven't donated to him already. There aren't any new rewards that current donors would benefit from so it'd need to pretty much be all new people.

I want the game, but I won't fund it either. Since I'm indifferent on voice acting, I'll be passing on this goal anyway. Keep working on the game, and let's see how it turns out. It is kind of interesting that you can see Inafune's businessman side showing here in trying to create a franchise off the bat.

As some of you know, beta is out and people who donated $80 can download it. Does anyone here has that beta and could it be shared online? It has only 1 level so it is far from full game and it would really not damage anything in my opinion since it's not like I am requesting full pirated version with everything included (which is not even possible yet to be found and plus I would not ask for that since I do plan to buy game legally when it comes out). As for beta, I would appreciate it if it could be shared since I really want to try it out. I would just keep it private for myself if someone gave me. Thanks.

The beta can only be obtained by individuals that backed the Kickstarter page by $80 or more, and PAX 2014 attendees via a unique-per-person code. Your only hope of playing it lies with the chance of somebody having a spare code hovering around.
Utilizing any other method of getting it at this moment (to my knowledge, anyway) would be clear-cut piracy.

I don't see how would it be a piracy for someone to upload beta files in archive on MEGA for example since by US law, creating backup (AKA second copy) is always allowed. Considering that beta of this game was never sold to big audience, if someone sent me privately download link of such archive and I downloaded it for my private use, no damage would be done considering it was not even a full version of the game and more like a 1 level demo and uploading demos and sharing them online is not illegal. The only illegal thing is if someone uploaded full game and started spreading links online.

I'd hardly call it a "demo", considering the mere fact it's a working beta that Comcept intends on updating. Just look at it this way; If Comcept wanted the general public to play the beta, then they'd allow 'em to. Really, if you seriously wanted early-access to the game, then you should've donated the designated minimum amount of cash to the Kickstarter page. You get back as much as you put in. After all, that's how these things work. Sounds a bit mean, I know, but I'm not even sure if anybody on MMLS even has the beta to begin with. I know I don't, and have no qualms whatsoever about waiting for the actual release date. Lastly, it isn't technically being shared privately, seeing as you're publicly asking for a download link on a public forum.

I think giving beta to people who donated $80 is too much demanding mainly because thats even more than retail price is gonna be. Oh, as for asking about link, I am not asking it to be posted here in thread but to be PM-ed to me But I see people don't have it.

I don't know if anyone else got the email, but voting us open for Call's main weapon! I really like C, with A as a close second. A bow would bring a different flavor to the table while still being useful. Has a lot of potential for creativity too; multi-directional shots, charge shots, rapid fire, etc.
A is a solid buster design that I can't really complain about aside from the fact that C is a lot more unique, especially in this setting. B has that retro feel but it doesn't really look like something you can take but so seriously. D is nice-looking, but a crossover weapon should stay in its own series unless it's a bonus if some sort.
