Hello everyone. I had an account here many years ago, but time got away from me and life hit me hard, so I basically abandoned all online communities for a few years. Well, I'm back and have decided to create a new account... particularly with the timing of the aftermath of Legends 3's cancellation and the fandom's admirable fury and awesome creative skills being used for grandiose endeavors such as Tuttle's Legendary Adventures and GMOTM.
Speaking of Get Me Off The Moon, I'm actually one of about 50-something members on the Backstage leader program, though I have done next to nothing to help (due to life, again), so that really is just a glorified title and nothing more. I was briefly assisting with the editing of the Rockman Dash 5-Island Adventure footage, and though (in my humble opinion, of course) I had pulled off some very pleasing high-definition results, because of major health issues, I had to resign from that position. Though I haven't been involved with the community anywhere near as much as I'd like to been, I have kept up with the news in the world of Legends, so I know much of the heartache many of you members have suffered in waiting for continuation of this brilliant, heartwarming series.
I personally was introduced to the Legends series by my best (and only) friend in middle school. He invited me over to play his "cool new game," which he mispronounced as "Make A Man 2 Legends." Hahaha. He had it on his PS2 and on his giant bulky TV. The world sucked me in with the exploration, the giant Reaverbots, and the wonderful characters. Over the year we continued talking about the series a bit, and I happened to finally find a copy of MML1 for the PC. My friend had only played MML2, so we had kinda planned on eventually getting together and playing the series. Then soon after we had started talking more about Legends, late in the sixth grade, my friend was brutally killed in a catastrophic automobile accident. I was crushed.
I guess I hold MegaMan Legends really dear to my heart not just because of the quality of the series, but because in some ways I feel my dead friend's spirit right beside me when I play it. Naw, I'm not like overly spiritual or emotional or anything. But I just have a deep connection with these games. REALLY deep.
Anyway, that's my sob story. But I didn't return here in order to rant about my depressing life. I came here to [re-]join the community and get creative with some ideas I had! More on that later... I'm about to return to college, so that comes first.
