Trigger
I honestly don't think he has a proper personality aside from the occasional moral outrage, since we control all of his actions. I suppose being embarrassed by sudden feminine nudity might be a personality trait since there are some peopel who would think nothing of it.
Roll
She claims to not like Tron, and I can kind of understand why, but I wonder if Tron wasn't so combative with Roll, if they would get along just fine. Roll seems like an 'everyone person.' She can get on well with anyone so long as they aren't outright trying to be displeasing company.
Tron
Haughty. Entitlement is her birthright. She feels authority over all things and people, and it isn't in an ironic or playful way. Tron is basically a carbon copy of the one person I have ever perma-blocked on my messenger... >.>;
Then again, Tron scores recovery points for being able to see the logic in things even when she disagrees.... (not to say her combative streak with Roll won't overrule it though)
Joe
He has a square head!
Yuna
I see Yuna as being a terribly mischievous person by nature... the type that sneaks up behind you when you're working late at night on something vaguely private, and shouts "WATCHA WORKIN' ON??" with a sly grin and coy half-lidded eyes. She is a caring person as well, but prefers to hide it behind a veil of light-hearted apathy. (See: Yuna explains to Trigger about his past and the plan to destroy carbon civilisation, with a laugh and a grin.)
Sera
Easily consumed by a single goal when she feels it is important. Case in point, a thousand+ year old grudge match with Trigger. She does not easily understand the feelings of others, as she could not comprehend why the Master was never pleased no matter how hard she devoted herself to her duties...nevertheless, this shows she also desires affection. She does in fact have ordinary feelings of her own, however, her dogged determination to follow the system and eliminate Trigger for his "betrayal" of it, has clouded and effectively deadened them for a long time. Having been defeated a second time, she begins to gain perspective on the situation thanks to seeing how carbons lived firsthand, and seeing how Trigger fought to protect them, not as an aberrant, but as one of them (even though he's not), and for the first time in millennia, she was able to smile and make a slight sarcastic quip. Evidence that she is most likely, a 'deadpan snarker.'
Sorry for making Sera's so much longer than the rest... she just has so much baggage to cover.
EDIT: It may seem obvious, but please discuss your opinions on either my interpretations or present your own theories as to the roots of these characters.
Joe is also aware that Roll is his real daughter, but doesn't want to burden her or his new family with it.
