Heya, Legends Station. Skybane here!
To those here who know me, hi again! To those who don't, I run a grassroots activist fan-movement called 100,000 Strong For Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3 (aka "Get Me Off The Moon"). Maybe you've heard of it, maybe you haven't. Maybe you like the group, maybe you don't (it's cool either way). In any case, as the name of the group implies, it is an effort centered around getting the cancelled Mega Man Legends 3 back into production. Our movement was founded shortly after the cancellation by a handful of fans who were crushed by the unfortunate announcement. Of course, even in the beginning, we fully realized what we were up against. We knew that our efforts may ultimately not bear any fruits at all. Still, the point was to at least try. After all, so long as demand for this game was still high, we knew that hope would never be completely lost. And hey, we were in no hurry to ensure success. We waited ten years for Capcom to start development on Mega Man Legends 3, so whose to say we couldn't wait longer? Even two full years later, our views have not changed. Given plenty of time and persistence, we still feel that Capcom will eventually come around and reinstate the game. Why? Well, those were the two elements that eventually led up to the "previous" MML3 project's development: plenty of time and persistence.
Anywho, since Legends Station and 100k Strong recently became affiliates, I thought it would only be appropriate to make an account here and become more acquainted with the folks on the LS end. For some additional info about me: I'm a gamer, writer, small-scale artist, and I guess something of a perfectionist. I've been an uber Mega Man fan for just about the entirety of my life, having played nearly every Mega Man game released over the past 25 years (with a few exceptions). I actually only live about a 30-minute-drive from the Capcom USA HQ in San Mateo, California, so I've had the opportunity to meet with Capcom employees like Greg "Gregaman" Moore, Brett Elston, Francis Mao, and Christian "Sven" Svensson (though the latter is no longer a member of Capcom) on more than one occasion, and talk to them about Mega Man. Overall, I can never say that I've ever had a bad experience with a Capcom USA employee. You can totally tell that they're supportive of fans and want to please them. Really makes me wish that they had more influence in the company's decisions, but ah well...
Anyway, that's about all I have to say for myself. I'm a relatively simple person (even if the text wall hints otherwise ). Glad to meet you all, and I look forward to working together with you in keeping this Legend alive!
Because, you know, Legends Never Die!
