Behold, a pristine example of how not to make a game console! They sure weren't kidding about that attempt at blocking used game distribution. Now you can't even share games with members of your own household! I'm not even sure your own XBox Live Arcade downloads are forwards compatible! ...They'd better lose a lot of money on this one, I'm just saying. The money-milking's gone too far. Way, way, way too far.

That has got to be one of the stupidest marketing ideas by any company ever. On another note, that thing is notably more powerful than any computer that anyone that I personally know has ever owned.

Microsoft making silly business decisions? NO WAAAAAAAAY. It better not end up like the original model of the 360 with its massive hardware failures and whatnot. It also better not sound like a goddamn leaf blower, or they'll lose customers. And another thing. "The Xbox One"? You trying to say something there, Microsoft?

Due to different game formats and from what I've seen so far, I can safely say that the Xbox One will not be compatible with the current Xbox Live Arcade Games. They'd have to be ported in order to work.
I like the fact that the new controller has rumble on its triggers. Kinect seems to have been improved significantly, but I'm still doubtful about it's potential (especially after playing the Kinect 1.0 Xbox 360 games). However, I do like the fact that it can detect the controller itself.
I seriously dislike the size of the Xbox One and the Kinect. It seems to be even bigger than the original PS3. At least it's bundled with a 500GB HDD, but that's not really relevant to the size issue. The controller is big too, but at least it seems to be more comfortable than the original Xbox controller. (I did laugh at the fact that the presentation emphasized the new "precision D-Pad". Though that's a good thing.)
And about the used games issue. You always need to be online when activating a game, but you can be offline after doing so. I can still bring my profile to a friend's house if I want to play a game. But, like everyone, I hate the fact that I have to pay a fee to play with another account, even if I'm doing this with my own console. With XBLA games, you could play the game anywhere as long as you had your own account on the USB/Memory Card or as long as you were playing on the console you bought the game in. Why can't you activate a game for a console too. The worst part is that the fee to play a used game is the same as its MSRP price. Then, why the heck would anyone get a used game when they could buy a new game at the same total price? Buying a used game and paying the fee would be more expensive than buying a game new.
Though, to be fair, this fee issue is going back and forth online, with some Microsoft representatives stating different things. Though, at the end, my conclusion seems to be that the fee for new game is a real thing. However, I found out that there will be a method to give games to someone else. However, Microsoft hasn't give too many details about this.
I'll buy the console, but just for the exclusives.

EDIT: "Microsoft suggests that a “historic” Rare property may be shown off at E3." - IGN Microsoft did state that 8 of the 15 Xbox One First-Party Games being developed will be new IP's, meaning that 7 sequels (Or prequels/spin-offs) to existing games are being developed. That means one of these games will very probably be that "historic" Rare game. My guess: Either a new Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie or Killer Instinct game. (Microsoft did solve the copyright issues with the Killer Instinct name successfully not so long ago.)

I'm actually gonna wager they're talking about Jet Force Gemini.

There will still be a way to get around the whole game sharing thing. I probably won't be able to buy it at first anyway since I'm the poorest person in my country. Once I have money I'll probably end up getting PS4 and then Xbox one anyway. I think the Xbox one is only comming out with 4 games being released

Once I have money I'll probably end up getting PS4 and then Xbox one anyway. I think the Xbox one is only comming out with 4 games being released15 First-Party games are being made for it. Forza is already confirmed to be a launch game. (I doubt that Quantum Break will be a launch game.) Also, third party games are being made for it, four of the confirmed ones being the annual EA Sports games and one of them being Call of Duty Ghosts, which has time-exclusive DLC releases. Also, the console will have Assassin's Creed IV, Lord of the Fallen, Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Evil Within, Thief, The Witcher 3, Sniper Elite III, Shadow Warrior, and others. While there isn't any confirmation of these games being launch games, we also don't have a confirmation of the release date of the Xbox One. Besides, we know the release date of some of these games and considering they're multiplatform games, I'm pretty sure the release date will be universal or they will be released before the Xbox One's launch date, meaning that they would be launch games for the Xbox One. (Like the case with Assassin's Creed 3 and the Wii U.) So... Why do do the Xbox One is coming out with only 4 launch games?

It was a youtube video, so it wasn't very credible anyway. I would love to see another wolfenstein game, even though the last one they made wasn't very popular. Another preview I saw before was Watch Dogs with I think will be on both consoles, It looked pretty cool but I would get the new Assassins Creed before it. I check out the whole game sharing thing, and some people are claiming you will be able to trade online but I have doubts about it.

I'll skip this console just because I don't really care for the whole anti-consumer stuff they're bringing to the table. Region locking is one thing, but this is on a whole different level... one that I won't participate in. Same goes for the PS4 pending how they go about it, and it's not completely known how used games work on that device either.
Let's just say I'm happy with the 3DS right now.

I'm actually gonna wager they're talking about Jet Force Gemini. I would kill for a new Jet Force Gemini. People would die. Not many survivors. Just statin' facts. So, at the moment I am vomiting profusely over this new debacle. The controller looks nice, and the graphics look nice (the cinematic graphics, rather, since they completely failed at showing proper in-game footage), but everything else? Nope. I buy a game system for games, not for additional human excrement that I consider anathema and will never look at. I'm gonna wait for E3 and see what games there are. If the majority of the games are cross-platform, then I'm going PS4. Which would be a nice reunion between Sony and I. All in all, I feel sorry for Microsoft like I'd feel sorry for a dumb dog that pooped all over the house. But dogs are adorable, so maybe not.

*Snickers* They are so going to burn for this. Sure games are only 17% of their income but what ever. I'm betting there will be a LOT of people being chucked under a bus when this launches. Though it IS good to see they are finally catching up with 9 year old tech. Maybe once they tank this they can work on the 180/720

That's "SketchMan3". Capital S, capital M and the number 3. It's official (nicknames are ok, though)

According to an article I read, the verified games will be playable with any account registered on that console.

Important News Flash!www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/19/microsoft-reversing-xbox-one-internet-used-game-policiesBasically, the Xbox One will now work like the Xbox 360 when it comes to used games, disc games and Internet requirements. Also, the region-lock is gone. The only time you need to use the Internet is when initially setting up the console. I do have one concern. To be specific, Microsoft just said that disc-based games will only work if you have the disc inside the disc tray and you can share your games by taking your disc to other consoles. So... Do we still have mandatory installs from the disc or can the Xbox One read games directly from the disc like pretty much every other console? EDIT: Kinect 2.0 will still spy on us while the Xbox One is online. EDIT 2: Mandatory Game Installs confirmed to be still around. But if you bring your game to someone else's Xbox One and install it, then this person could buy the digital version of the game and won't have to wait for it to download. Also, due to all of these changes, the Family Sharing feature is gone.

Yeah, it still bother me they will have the camera staring and listening to you all the time (NSA crap). You can't turn it around or cover it up either or else it will complain at you. I'll still go with the PS4 for now until I see the Xbox one in action with one of my friends that will get it.
Good thing microsoft actually pays attention to what people want instead of ignoring everything though. I still hope the thing for watching movies doesn't happen (i.e. another person walks in the room, extra charge). I would also wait and see for a while if they release a different version that has a better design to it, since it looks like a VCR

After this article, I don't know how anyone could still trust them. Remember that they're the company that released a defective console on the market and knowingly lied about it until they couldn't cover it up anymore. They did the same thing here and once again have gone back due to public pressure. The fact that they have just admitted that they could renege on their giveback is appalling.
