I want to make a topic, but I'm out of ideas. Is anyone willing to give me some? It can even be something complicated, as long as it is interesting enough for people to talk with it. I'm not shy with research.

I would say this: Nail down some interests first...what kind of things do you like discussing? Categorize a bit, I can throw in a few ideas that way.

Wait. So, this is a thread... that helps people... make other threads...? Kinda unnecessary, don't you think?

Wait. So, this is a thread... that helps people... make other threads...? Kinda unnecessary, don't you think? Not necessarily. This is a thread that helps people make "different" threads which people are actually interested in. You don't have any idea of the amount of times I've made threads in different forums about topics people weren't interested about. This thread's goal is to create a brain-storming of ideas for threads and, hopefully, we can find something everyone is interested about that no-one thought others would care about before.

If someone wants to talk about something, the thread will be opened. No need for you to take ideas from other people, no? Yeah, that's what I was going to say. If we have something to discuss here, we would make the thread ourselves.

You got it all wrong. It's not about what I would like to discuss. It's all about what all of YOU would like to discuss. That really counters the point of this thread then, as everyone else stated...would be no different than waiting for someone else to post a new thread on a certain idea themselves, rather than just asking.

Not to destroy your idea, as it's a rare one and rare things are always cool, but I'm kind of feeling that this thread is a bit unnecessary as well. I've been using forums for around 15 years and haven't ever felt the need, or seen anyone else feel the need, to brainstorm what to talk about. There are a billion possible things to talk about, and people would just be spouting out ideas aimlessly, just as aimlessly as posting threads that others may or may not care about. Only the people who have been here a good while could produce ideas that work, since they know everyone and their general interests well. But they wouldn't need an idea thread, they could just post new threads as they've been doing. And if people ever do wonder if a thread is worthy of posting or not, they usually just drop the idea by people in passing without any form of ritual about it.
"Should I make this thread?" "Yeah, why not. So anyway..."
And so forth.
Again, not to attack your idea or anything. Just saiyan.

I don't blame him for polling the audience, myself. We're currently in a thread creation lull, and finding common ground at least a small group of us have outside of Mega Man Legends would help move things along. A lot of non-Legends threads don't get a lot of replies, and there was a point where Adrian himself ended up posting a massive load of threads that nobody was interested in replying to over in the gaming section. Strategizing couldn't hurt.
So to actually answer the question, I'm really into TV right now. Most of my favorite shows are sitcoms (30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Recreation, Community, Arrested Development, Malcolm in the Middle). I'm also looking forward to the Breaking Bad finale this summer.
I follow news for new animated films, but I'm not a big fan of milking sequels. Here's looking at you, Finding Dory. I like musicals and I'm trying to find new shows with catchy soundtracks, mostly for parody purposes.

Strategizing couldn't hurt. I understand your point, but some people here just need to step outside of their comfort zone in order to establish a better relationship and similar interests with other MMLS members. Mega Man Legends is supposed to be the common ground we all share, not something else. I can totally understand if certain members feel uncomfortable about making a thread, thinking that they'll get criticized or mocked. I get that. If anybody feels that way, send a PM to a moderator, or a member you can relate to. You'd be amazed at the amount of things we could have in common, so don't be afraid to speak up about it.

Hmmm...Well, if there's a thread lull then I take back my previous statement. This thread would be perfect for that. I should have probably waited for more older members to talk before spouting off. XD
Well, let's see...I don't really watch TV, but I'm into anime (Don't even get me started), Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, GameCenter CX (Already have a thread for this though), Supernatural, True Blood, American Horror Story, and The Walking Dead.
Games-wise, I mainly like RPGs, action/adventures, weird Japanese stuff, indies, and anything horror related. But I'm up for mostly anything as long as it doesn't look like Call of Duty or Madden.
As for movies, I'm a horror movie addict (Asian horror, if I had to choose). But I like sci-fi and fantasy stuff as well. And anything psychological and weird.
I'm also into steampunk stuff, so I guess that's a thing.

You could arguably say that about any non-game thread in General Discussion, though. RTANT can pretty much become any thread you can possibly think up at the drop of a hat, but at the cost of having that particular topic become much harder to find later.

I go into quiet mode quite a bit when I start focusing on doing a small project of my own. Since my mind is on doing two runs of Mega Man & Bass, one of the harder classic series games, I hope you can understand. I've also been kind of busy with some real life issues before that, though, so my attention has been on that as well.

It's cool, Bean. No need to apologize for having things to do.
