IT's not a surprising reveal but I really liked the trailer. Big Boss is awesome and I love playing as him as much as Solid. Only problem is that Hayter doesn't seem to have gotten the VA job :/

Now that E3 is plowing along at full-speed, Konami has released a new trailer for MGSV. I'll be perfectly honest, this game looks... dark. In a good way, though. Note, the sound will cut off for a short period of time around the 1:35 mark. Eli looks very familiar, too. Blonde hair, no shirt, black gloves. He's in the Middle East, and wearing jackal teeth around his neck. Lastly; "A Youth who Curses his Fate". I see what you're doing here, Kojima.

I see what you're doing here, Kojima. Symbolism at its best. Eli is short for Eliab, the eldest of the 8 brothers. And the youngest one, David became king. Certainly more plausible than Silent being Sniper Wolf (hint: She's only 4 years old at the time MGSV takes place, being born in 1980 and all).

Then again, there's always the possibility that Kojima is deliberately tossing down a smoke bomb. Trying to get the fanbase to come up with all sorts of theories before invalidating all of 'em and knocking our socks off with a massive twist.

Not enough "WOAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH". Sorry. That's all I can associate the newest trailer with. Nice work, though. You've overcome 75% of the YouTube community by not using a Linkin Park song. Kudos!
My, oh my. It's been dreadfully long since this thread has had an update. As it turns out, Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain will once again be separate games. Ground Zeroes serving as a "prologue" of sorts, and giving fans something to play whilst they wait for the feature-length product of Phantom Pain. In order news, what would current generation games be without EXCLUSIVE DLC! PS3/PS4 players will get the Deja-Vu mission; a nod to the original MGS1, complete with blocky, low-polygon models! As for Xbone owners, they get the Jamais Vu mission; a DLC featuring Raiden as the protagonist. The interesting thing here, is that the mission will feature Snatchers, of all things. Kojima really loves to reference that game nowadays.

Played the PS4 version just couple of weeks ago. As some of you have read, it's incredibly short plot-wise but the gameplay made up for it pretty well with the refined action elements even when compared to MGS4 and PW. Best of all, the 'multiple routes to a target' element (open-ish world I suppose) made me feel that the game plays out differently each time I made a run on it. If that's how far it can get, I am looking forward to TPP big time. But yeah, enough stalling from me. I'm just going to leave this here: Too far?

Definitely not my cup of Tactical Espionage Action, but hey, No Zeroes! That's a plus!

Jeez, Kaz wasn't kidding. It takes balls to use a camouflaged box in the freakin' desert.
Also, GET HYPE, GET HYPE, GET HYPE, GET HYPE.

Accidental early release of trailer or not, the hype is maximum ( and the critics appear to agree). Also, I hope for more silly antics involving ShareFactory like this one :

E3 footage is finally available on YouTube! Boy, does this game look amazing. Tactical goat extractions, smoke breaks to speed up time, and even a tour of Mother Base 2.0!
*Gameplay footage starts at the 54 minute mark*

"They look like they just left the saloon and are off to rob a bank or something." I laughed plenty.
And awesome, Morpho's back as the talking magical helicopter.

Calling it now. Big Boss' final upgrade for his prosthetic hand is the Rocket Peace attack.
