Hey everybody. This is my very late introduction after 2+ years of lurking. Some of you I've met, but there are still many wonderful people here I'm hoping to get to know. I spend most of my time here in the Art sub-board, where there are many, many impressive fan projects going on. I'm awed by some of the things you guys are making to keep MML alive, but simpler fan art and stories are equally fun to look at and think about. For me, MML and the player's imagination have always been inseparable. As a kid, I dreamed a lot more about the universes in games than I got to play them, especially for the games I couldn't get. That was before the internet got into every household.
It's truly heartwarming to see fans inventing characters, places, and reaverbots for MML even so long since the last game, and after most of us have long stopped being children. This honestly looks like a very nice community for fans to share and talk about fan work.

That was beautiful, Cere. Good on ya! I've seen you popping around MMLS from time to time, and was wondering when you'd post next. It'd be nice for you to become a MMLS regular, since I've seen and know firsthand how lonely MLU can be. It really is nice to see you posting again, so keep that up.

What's all this, then? Optimism? Happiness? Joyous nostalgia? Ohohoho! We can't have that, Cere. We can't have that. Maybe those two years of lurking have shielded you from all the bad-vibes that are being pumped into the air conditioning, but don't worry. It's only a matter of time before you become a bitter, jaded husk of your former self...! LOL JK!It's nice to see an ex-lurker posting. I expect you to continue with this current behaviour, though. :39:

Good to see you back, Cere. Since you still seem to be relatively unjaded, I'm going to send you on a covert mission to find out the origin point of the bad vibes that have been pumping through the HVAC system for so long. Take this gas mask and climb through the unusually spacious air ducts until you reach the source. Morale's just been awful lately and I'm pretty sure these bad vibes have been planted in there somewhere like a time bomb.
If you find and forcefully remove the source, you will never have to fill out a form here again. Scout's honor.

Why so negative? I survived MLU so I’m confident I’ll manage here somehow.
But you guys sure know how to make somebody feel welcome. You guys had me grinning from ear to ear. And Kyle, I suppose I’ll just have to prove you wrong. Or would that be doing exactly what you set out to goad me into doing, hmm...
But Dashe, I’m afraid that’s a pretty tall order. Do you always pass the suicide missions onto the rookies? (BTW, you’re one of the people I most wanted to meet. Your youtube videos are some of the most uplifting things I’ve seen.) Thanks, Mikey. Oh, that was me deciding whether to leave some compliments for a couple of people, and wondering if was kinda rude to just pop up and say something without introducing myself here first.
I just started exploring other parts of the forum. Checking out the paint chat right now. Man, you guys got talent.

I went on an experimentation binge over the summer though and made one guy clean the community pool with a toothbrush to shake things up. I never did hear from him again after that. You do bring up a good point about surviving MLU though, and it only boosts my confidence further that you are the perfect man for this dangerous task. You might not even need a gas mask with those credentials. Put a stop to those cynical fumes and I might actually get over the jaded patch and make more uplifting videos! Suicide missions aside, I'm glad you like 'em! Thanks!

A late welcome Nice to meet you Cere, always good to see another lurker. I lurked this place for like 3 or 4 years before I even signed up! I know, it's somewhat pathetic The optimism is refreshing, you should totally join us on iSribble one of these weekends.
