www.legends-station.com/mml1/wallpaper/legends1024.jpgThis awesome piece of artwork here has always been a favorite of mine. I'm sure most of you know that it is the image on the disc side of the interior of MML1's case. Anyways I've had it as my wallpaper numerous times and love it dearly, but apparently not dearly enough to ever really analyze it. If you notice there can't be anyone flying the Flutter since Roll, Barrel, and Data are all in the car. So either it's haunted or it's about to crash and burn. That's just the tip though. If you look to the bottom left corner there is a town that doesn't appear in any fashion in the game. The house's layout are unlike any in the game. This town also has some big landmarks (which makes this fitting timing since TLT is having the landmark event!) like an awesome looking skyscraper-harbor thing out on the water, and a big clocktower. And finally everybody is racing down a lengthy highway with telephone polls that isn't in the game either. I realize this is probably concept art but these are things I have never noticed before. It looks kind of like it would be the ideal version of Uptown and actually looks like the general art direction they were taking with Klicklan Island in MML3. If this is concept art it's kind of funny to see how that grand design transitioned into the actual game. Also isn't it kind of weird to put something that doesn't actually appear in your game on your official packaging?

High resolution? High resolution my ass! That thing on the water's pretty intriguing, though. Looks like a ruin, but you can never be too sure with stuff like concept art. I wonder what happens to it when the tide comes in--or goes out. It's hard to tell whether we're dealing with high tide or low tide. If I had to wager, I'd say it's high tide since the water's right at the city's edge. The city's certainly a lot closer to sea level than the Uptown we got and looks like they've got something more like a standard sort of water shelf. Man, now I'm wondering what the tides are like on Lake Jyun. Uptown rises in altitude the closer you get to sea level, so does that mean most of the buildings are actually below lake level? I wish we had a topographical map of Kattelox. I like the idea of Jyun having higher elevation...I mean, imagine that little passageway Roll leads the Balcon through actually having a slope (or maybe even some waterfalls) and then having a floodgate Mega Man would have to open to get back to Uptown! That'd be cool!

To be fair, HF. He did appear in a 'Capcom' game. Albeit twenty five years later and in a game that was a joint-project. No. Considering that both examples quoted are for games several years after the one in question, that would be downright 'cheating' and not 'fair' as you put it.

Well you see Dashe, when the tide rises over the entrance to lake Jyun it becomes like the Nino island ruin. Complete with annoying water physics and poor little zakobun and guruguru helplessly floating in the water. Man, I would hate to have the Garudoriten fight in a MML2 style water ruin. Although I recently when to a massive boat dock on a lake in Missouri and it was divided up and tied together in a way that when the water rises it just floats up with it, avoiding damage in an area known for massive flooding. I doubt the thing out on concept lake Jyun would be able to do that, it looks like it's made of stone, but maybe something similar to keep it above water after the great disaster.
Honestly could you imagine lake Jyun flooded? It's like the most gigantic lake I've ever seen. For a while I thought it was the ocean!
PS. I realize that Data probably jumped out of the Flutter and Roll caught him.

Believe it or not, this same picture was my desktop all throughout high school. It's my favorite Legends picture ever.

Maybe Mega Man got to the ruin at high tide...it'd be a real pain to have to get up on that island during low tide unless there were some kind of biological path making it easier to get up. If there were, though, that boat wouldn't have been so easy to dock. I don't think going into the ruin during low tide would dry it out though, since the ruin's pretty far underground. Unless the whole lake dried out at any point.

Something I just noticed...
What exactly does Barrel have in his hands? It doesn't look like a refractor, and he's clearly nervous about something. Maybe he doesn't want it to break because of Roll's extremely irresponsible driving? If so, what could it be?
Edit: Hey! Utility poles! I wonder if Kattelox Island was originally planned to have a telephone service....

I always thought it was a cup of coffee.

I always thought it was a cup of coffee. Well, even if that's the case, he's still giving it a very intense look. Maybe Barrel is a Godot-tier coffee maniac?

If Data, Roll, and Barrel are all in the bus, and Megaman is outside running at an insanely fast pace... Who is driving the Flutter?

Looking at it now, I think the island in the background (with the huge tower) is the same place that the MvC3 'Kattelox Island' takes place on.
If Data, Roll, and Barrel are all in the bus, and Megaman is outside running at an insanely fast pace... Who is driving the Flutter? Either a Servbot hijacked it or that cactus is one amazing pilot!

Well, even if that's the case, he's still giving it a very intense look. Maybe Barrel is a Godot-tier coffee maniac? It'd be awesome if caffeine helped fuel his make-believe pyrotechnics, eh? We need to see more of that Barrell... and if he was ever going to show it, it's in this wallpaper. He probably ran out of coffee, and is staring intently because he's living 5 minutes in the past; when the coffee was still there. Obligatory: Haha, the front license plate has "69" on it. They just HAD to go there. RSW... Wonder what that could be. Really Sexy Women? Random Stupid Words? Roll's Stuck in the Well? We may never know...

Well, Roll definitely looks like she's driving recklessly there. Maybe Barrell just doesn't want to spill any of it on himself.
