Klaymoor is such a physical enigma he could very well just be a dead rat piloting a human-shaped mech and we'd be none the wiser.
With Valyra, I don't actually even think there are publicly viewable images of anything other than that one portrait from Event #3. That said, she's got a decent enough hairdo, but I'm wondering why what I can see of her top looks so...plain. If I were the leader of a group of formerly fearsome assailants, I'd at least splurge on some epaulettes, or shoulder pads. Nothing says "I am the cool, calm, and calculating boss!" like broad shoulders and a crisp, clean jacket with a lot of buttons and fancy cufflinks. Giving her a relatively high collar was a good move--plunging necklines tend to convey a sense of vulnerability and are the reason I wear almost exclusively turtlenecks and shirts with collars. Some more intricate earrings might help convey that sense of leadership as well. Maybe even a hat, though I admit to having a personal bias in favor of hats. I really wish there were a full body shot of her floating around. Dear god I hope they don't have her in a dress. Those ridiculous garments are incredibly impractical for everything and anything piracy-related. If you want that dresslike look without sacrificing the dapper air of intellectuality, nothing beats a trench coat, as Tuttle illustrates.
But yeah...I'd draw her if I knew what was going on below her shoulders. Good god that came out so wrong. Design aesthetics! I meant like design aesthetics!

I feel confident there are full bodies floating around from the old tuttles game or that other game she was in that I think FAB was developing long ago. Honestly as much as I love Tronne she really isn't all that complex in her design other then crazy hair and crutch plate as part of her jumpsuit-y thing. Her original design was even lamer; looking like a 1980s fitness instructor lol.

Any assets would be in the media for Sky Pirate Arcade or on the TLT site, and fAB and Blyka are generally pretty tight-lipped about this sort of stuff. You wouldn't find anything Tuttle-related just floating around unless they deliberately put it somewhere. Every asset the general public was aware of for TL5IA was put in at least one of the demos--give the final cut a download, I'm pretty sure only Nodin and Sirocco made it to that demo as far as Sturm goes.
(By the way, the character's name is spelled Tron. Tronne is just the name of one of the Quint Islands. In my headcanon the Bonnes' parents spent a lot of holidays there and liked it so much that they named their kid after the place like the family from Life of Pi did.)

My B, my iPhone makes assumptions based on similar text. Lol I know that Valyra was in some other game that was being developed. Just I can research it at the moment. But it's good to be kinda tight lipped about certain things. That was people's fear about the capcom devroom possibly containing 'spoilers' lol. I think that is the big problem with things like this. I actually find this process just as entertaining as playing the finished product however.

Technically it wasn't quite some other game. Tuttle's Little 5-Island Adventure is the project that eventually evolved into TLT.
And yeah, this sort of discussion is definitely entertaining...and probably puts anybody participating at an advantage for these contests. I mean, we're actually closely analyzing the things fAB and Blyka are making. I think that's why so many people are quickly jumping to cameo museum artifacts over Quint Islands related material, too. There hasn't been that much back and forth discussion of the islands themselves, so a lot of people are taking the easy route and pulling references from Capcom-made games.
You would not believe how much time I spent studying those blog posts to sort out what information's been revealed about these games to help better draw conclusions about the environment and characters. For this event especially. I really want to jump in and make a "What We Know About TLT" thread like that old one I had about Legends 3 as stuff was being revealed, where everyone synthesizes information about the game in an educated fashion based off of the assets provided. Especially because so much information is presented in the videos, which to my knowledge haven't been transcribed. Sturm Force was pretty much exclusively described through video content, which must suck if you're deaf. The gear motif on the Malt Gate was noteworthy too. I didn't even know Malt Island had a gated town until that video. I wonder if these towns have names to them.

Ohh i found the game i was talking about -Halcyon Days..i believe, something like that- and the image in particular; although her hair is different i believe its supposed to be the same character. Its very minimalistic (this design) but kinda cute and interesting in a minimalistic way. But now maybe you can have some idea to know what she is packing below her shoulder...you know design aesthetic wise ;p. Speakin on this event...i think it was a little difficult for some reason, and i didnt want to make it a contest of digital arts. when i thought about it i was like...what would people like in this world? what would they find? what would they create as art? it was much easier to think about the past timelines and people did create a lot of 'in the past' material or something related to trigger (although i wouldnt think too many people consider him as legendary in their world as we see him). Hmn....so much to ponder lol.

I don't think there will be very many spoilers. I work on the project and don't know anymore than any of you. Allz I know is that there will be a lot of people running around. My job right now is to make all of the Carbons.
Wait a sec, if I'm making the Carbons, does that make me the Master System!? Nah, I guess I could just be an old repurposed factory line used by the Master System that once manufactured toasters or something.

Woah, Valyra seems to have aged in realtime. These character bios were created in 2004, when Valyra was 19. Excellent find, Zaiy. Halcyon Days wasn't even a game. More like a choose-your-own-adventure almost-turned-animated series. I'd have never thought to look there. I seriously, seriously, seriously hope the last nine years have taught that woman that you cannot command respect in anything other than pants (or armor). Especially if you fight. Unless it's a kilt and you're in the right company. At least she's got a higher collar now and sleeves. +10 for that, it helps convey more of a sense of power now that she's running the show. That was a pretty solid concept I learned in a costume design class I took once. If the old Halcyon Days description's still true today, then she's got some serious ambition in her. Which sounds really, really awesome. If she really were ambitious enough to jump in from the outside and then rise to the top, if I were her, I'd be all about making sure I looked like a leader of a brand-name pirate faction, too. joshmnky - You totally work for the system. And you're definitely more important to it than a toaster maker. In any case, if we all take what we do know and discuss it like this as it shows up, then it'll probably make everyone involved have stronger future entries in these events. Or at least entries that are in closer alignment with what would work in the given environments. Good old synergy! It never fails!

these days texturing is killing me. but in low polygon modeling it is the step toward the success of the game. b/c it can deceive human eyes with their wonderful colors. Attachments:

Yeah, texturing is something I don't think I'll ever enjoy. I'm not that good at it right now.
So about these contests; do you think my entries will start being invalid as I get more involved with the project? I am on the staff page, and staff are usually not allowed to participate in such things. I think it's fine for this particular contest since it's supposed to have enough winners to fill a museum, but I'm not sure about future contests. On the other hand, it's not like I have any special knowledge to give me an edge on winning (yet).

Like you said you don't know all that much, plus the game will have a little more of a special 'you' touch . It's call having our hand, even if its small, I'm the game.

We judge objectively based on the entry, not the entrant, so staffers are as welcome as anyone else. And if you take a look at all of our Events, you'll notice none of them are subjects that we have staff involved with, so staffers should never have an unfair advantage.

On the matter of making this forum's rich with participants, I have an idea. well, If my skills on 3d modeling are quite improved, i will make tutorials on youtube on how to create reaverbots in 3ds max. I think reaverbots are ideal practice target for trainees b/c they are composed of relatively basic standard primitives for e/x boxes and spheres. after making more than 10 tutorials on 3d modeling. i will teach them about UVW mapping and textures, lastly animations and human modelings.
but concept artists are really really needed to provide some new challenges for trainees. b/c they will get bored when the existing reaverbots runs out !

Reaverbots.pdf (816.68 KB) If your interested JoonJoono i have some Reaverbots that i made for my table top as well as Reaverbots i appropriated from Niklas at Reaverbot Legends and you can model some of those, if your bored. haha Either way check out the reavers, some of them are pretty neat...i didnt put all of the reavers in there that i was gunna use for my game but still fun to look at haha. I just have them around temporarily..my hardrive crashed not too long ago so i lost a lot of my progress and i am thinking of making my tabletop RPG less of an RPG and more of a RPG/Boardgame hybrid for quick fun play and not very difficult rules, although this severly sacrifices most of my character creation....but maybe another time.

thanks for the reaverbots. i think they have more complicated shapes than existings. well, i will make this useful later i'm fully capable. the word that i fear most is "hardware crash". the most frustrating moment i can never forget. anyway good luck with your game projects. i'm gonna jump into game engine later i'm good at 3d softwares.
