If fAB and Blyka like seeing fanart for the game, it makes sense for it to go someplace where they're going to notice it. Maybe a board under TLT for non-canon fan interpretations like art and such would be a better alternative, considering the project's circumstances. We certainly enjoy seeing (and are most flattered by) fan art. Eventually we may want to create a separate topic for TLT fan works, but as there really isn't all that much of it going around at present fAB and I agreed it's fine in this topic for now. As for potentially giving the wrong impression that it's official, most of the time it would be implied or stated that it is just fan art, and at the most misleading, mere concept art. But yeah, having 3D reaverbot models that gave no indication that they were fan works of the game's materials could definitely have been misleading. There's definitely a line that should be drawn, but I wouldn't want to see discussion on TLT stagnate completely. Indeed not. Fan works or not, any sort of discussion, analysis, speculation, comments, questions, etc. is always welcome in this topic at any time. It's what this thread's all about, and it's always inspiring to see people interested enough to spend time discussing the game (even if we don't have the time to take part in the discussion ourselves). Hm, I think I'll update the opening post of this topic with a more relevant intro for newcomers. The original post is... quite out of date, to say the least.

I'm glad that the fan art situation has been solved because I've made some of my own. I've recreated the Malt Museum! In Minecraft that is. Here's a picture. If you're interested in seeing inside and such I've posted all the pictures here.

The new models are awesome! Especially Amistal, i seen it in the preview of the game a while ago...but now up close...he is great, But it brings me to a question t the 'eye types'. I know the 'solid red eye' is popular, and iconic, in Megaman Legends 1. But the more likely, not definite, 'two eyes' in Megaman Legends 2 was just as iconic to me, although some dont seem to notice the pattern...
Do you guys think you will stray away from the one eye (legends 1) and two eye (legends 2) scheme for some Reaverbots?
what does everyone else think bout that jazz?

I think the Zakobon looks much better than the one from Alternate Trigger.
Oh, you meant the other jazz. Right. I like the red eye look. It's just more off-putting and gives it a bit of an edge, not to mention they're Grade One National Treasures. What I'm wondering is if there are any plans to reskin the Legends 1 style Zakobon so they work like the various kinds of Legends 2 Zakobon. 1 just had your standard garden variety and the fireball-shooting upgrade.
For organizational purposes, the revealed returning, battleable Reaverbots thus far have been Hanmuru Doll, Zakobon, Mammoo, Amistal, and Golbesh, right? I'm not missing anything?

I think that's all of em so far, what I'm trying to say though is there is a pattern to all the reaverbots so ok curious to as if there will be a new one.
Actually I like the way the Zakuban Horroku looks in TLT better then they were looking in mml3... They were so much lankier lol

Hey I'm pretty new to this forum, but I was curious how the game will play. Will Tuttle attack enemies just like Mega Man? I've never played the Misadventures of Tron Bonne, so I don't know much about the character.

I always despised that in MML2 the reaverbot eye was replaced with just 2 eye holes, but now-a-days I'm starting to like that look a bit. I'd much more prefer the original look but if Horroku made it into TLT it would be just fine with me. I have to complement you guys on the Zakobon model aswell; it's really sharp. I have to admit though, I'm still getting used to the smoothness of TLT (and MML3)opposed to the blockiness of yore.
Oh and I figure that these guys will come up with a new standard reaver or two!
EDIT: I just noticed Blyka's tweet about a major reworking of the engine's input system. This isn't a big setback is it?

Hey I'm pretty new to this forum, but I was curious how the game will play. Will Tuttle attack enemies just like Mega Man? I've never played the Misadventures of Tron Bonne, so I don't know much about the character. He uses a cane as a melee weapon, actually. Think Zelda, but...not Zelda at all. XD Where the other three games' environment was built around shooting, this game will be based around close-quarters combat. Not to say there won't be various special weapons to add another layer to the gameplay... I'm still getting used to the smoothness of TLT (and MML3)opposed to the blockiness of yore. I love TLT's smoothness, but I also love the old blockiness. Both now have a special place in my heart. Which might be unhealthy, since things aren't supposed to be put inside of those except for blood. But y'know, the greater good and all that.

What I'm wondering is if there are any plans to reskin the Legends 1 style Zakobon so they work like the various kinds of Legends 2 Zakobon. 1 just had your standard garden variety and the fireball-shooting upgrade. Well, some existing reaverbots deviate from either eye style entirely, so we won't be confining ourselves to either one throughout the game. If it comes down to choosing between the two for a particular reaverbot our personal preference is definitely for the one eye style from MML1, however there may be variations to some reaverbots (such as the Zakobon), so he may end up using the MML2 style eyes as well at some point in the game. I just noticed Blyka's tweet about a major reworking of the engine's input system. This isn't a big setback is it? Nope, pending undiscovered bugs it was pretty much fully implemented yesterday. If it wasn't clear I was just referring to the nerdy underside of the engine; the new input system won't effect how the game is played at all. As my C# experience expands and I attempt to put new features into the engine I've found that my a lot of my code from before was somewhat of a mess and difficult to work with, so I've been doing a lot of optimizing the past couple of days. Thankfully it's moving along nicely. Also, nice Minecraft work!

I think itll be cool to have a 3 eyed Horroku, personally lol. Do you guys have an idea of how much reavers you plan on putting in the game?!? im hoping there is a lot of different ones, even if you go the 'MMO' style of reskining/recolouring lol as long as they bring something different.
kind of like what Dashe mentioned.

Great to hear Blyka! We haven't got too many updates on the engine and such so anything that sounds like obstacle is a bit disconcerting. I'm glad things will run for smoothly for you now. And don't take the engine update stuff as criticism because it's not. I know it's hard to demonstrate progress in that area and I don't expect much news on that kind of thing till you guys are ready for another demo. As long as everything is running smoothly on the programming side I don't need any details!

Do you guys have an idea of how much reavers you plan on putting in the game?!? We haven't given much thought to who all will come in various styles, but as for base reaverbots we're currently aiming more in the area of MML1's 20 (as opposed to MML2's 43), one reason being to keep the project realistic. I learned the hard way that biting off more enemies and bosses than you can chew can really drag a project on forever, as good AI is one of the more difficult aspects of game programming. Of course the number is always subject to change should we need to adapt to the game's design as it comes about, but safe to say we won't be going too overboard. Certainly didn't take that as criticism, but I do feel bad about the lack of positive progress in that area. In truth the engine work has been terribly slow since the first demo (not by my choice), and what little there has been tends to be a bit haphazard in nature so I often neglect to tweet about it. I've finally had time to up the pace the past few days though, and I very much hope after the next demo comes out that I can keep at it more consistently this time.

You know I was prowling through the Station and found myself in the fan art section. I'e looked through it all before but this particular picture jumped out at me this time. fAB's Wood Guardian
Now that would have been a great museum item! It would be funny if it made it's way into TLT.

Haha i saw that a while ago and appropriated it into my Tabletop and dubbed it 'Woodomaru Doll" haha. It would be kinda awesome to see this guy, tbh.
Also, about 20 reavers sounds good, kinda hope its closer to 30-ish. including bosses, so that would leave room for 22 more exciting reaverbots!!!

I spend way too much time playing Minecraft, so I decided to do something for Tuttle. Ended up with this. The only thing that I'm not satisfied with is the hat, but that's the best I can do with Minecraft. And the nose is so-so.
