Well, this may not have our Legendary Digger in it, but it's pretty important; in the latest issue of Famitsu, an article about the speculated teamup game between Sega, Capcom, and Bandai-Namco has been revealed. It's a strategy RPG called "Project X Zone", and will be helmed by Bandai-Namco's famed subsidiary Banpresto, responsible for the legendary Super Robot Wars series of tactical/strategy RPGs. Project X Zone (said "Project Cross Zone") is a strategy RPG in the vein of Namco X Capcom, featuring characters from the three developers' various series and franchises. From them, we have the following: - CAPCOM: Ryu & Ken (Street Fighter), X and Zero (Mega Man), Demitri and Dante (Darkstalkers and Devil May Cry), Chris and Jill (Resident Evil)
- SEGA: Shinguji Sakura and Ogami Ichiro (Sakura Wars), Pai and Akira (Virtua Fighter), Kurt and Riela (Valkyria Chronicles), Ulala and Touma (Space Channel 5 and Shining Force EXA)
- BANDAI-NAMCO: Sanger Zonvolt (Super Robot Wars), Jin and Xiaoyu (Tekken), Kos-Mos and T-elos (Xenosaga), Yuri and Estel (Tales of Vesperia), Kite and BlackRose (.hack)
The game does not have a set release date yet, but a trailer will be released to the general public later this month. Sounds promising! I enjoyed playing NxC (yes, even if it´s hell long) right now I´m imagining X, Zero and Dante along with Kos-Mos and T-elos in NxC style! Wait, No Sonic or Shadow?

Unfortunately to some, no, Sonic and Shadow have not been announced. Though, honestly, I'd rather they weren't in the game anyway. This is pretty much a strategy RPG, and Sonic's last outing in any sort of RPG was rather disappointing (though that's more Bioware's fault than anything). Plus, with all the humanoids in the game, having two animals would feel unsettling, even if they were Sega's flagship mascot and his erstwhile antihero rival.

Should it happen to add to the double-teaming convention, the satisfaction of suddenly hearing "TROMBE" override the current BGM in-game cannot be described.

The opportunity is too big to miss, though it may just be Bamco's way of having fun with us consumers. But for the players of SRW? Elzam/Rats' presence should be obligatory, should Zengar be around. Otherwise, who would he ride on?

Why are they putting Tales of Vesperia characters in this instead of Symphonia or Abyss? Those are the ones everyone I know remembers.
Seriously, Lloyd or Sheena or Zelos or Luke or Tear would be awesome in this.
And no Jet Set Radio?

I'm glad my favourite robot couple made it into this, and they'll be teamed up together? My heart is happy. I'll be honest and admit that I'm only familiar with some of these characters by name, and haven't played the series/games they're from.

I still don't get why Namco's not including Symphonia/Abyss characters. I have never heard anyone gush about how they liked Tales of Vesperia, but I've heard plenty of people say they enjoyed the absolute fuck out of ToS/TotA. Maybe if they port it to the US, they'll change up the Tales series characters, because I don't think many people even bought Vesperia here. The 360 has traditionally been a shooting game console and RPGs are kind of rare.

You guys should keep in mind that the currently announced cast is just what it is: currently announced. There is probably a lot more characters that have yet to be shown to the public. I'm just wishing that this gets a North American release...

It's finally good to see X in a crossover game, he deserves it. I just wish I wouldn't have to use Zero with him. Oh well I'll live.

Why thank yo-er, oh you mean cousin X, actually I'm very happy that he's in this game, very surprised Kite and Black Rose is there too, love those two from .Hack, plus there's other characters we don't know about that hasn't been mentioned at all, pretty excited! ^_^
