That's right guys! According to Protodude, the drink in the vending machines is called 'Oronamin C', and it's a popular energy drink-like soda in Japan with a citrus/lemon-y flavor. He even lists places where the thing can be bought. It's amazing to think that the drink in MML is actually real, huh?

I'm not surprised. I always thought that MML had references to real world. Of course they are not that easily seen, but for Japan it's probably common.

That makes me wonder what the Frank Sinatra records from the house next to the northern gate Downtown were in Japan.

It's so cool to hear that there's a real-life version of Oronamin C.
Like Heat Man said in the comments, one can enjoy it more by kicking the vending machine.

Those drinks from the vending machine was only the case in the beta, wasn't it? It was in the release version where they changed them to unnamed canned drinks.

I always wondered what was going through their heads when the named a bakery after jet lag. I mean really, what does a difference in time zones have to do with baked goods?
