Well, I did it last year, and a fair amount of people responded that time, so why not again? List out what you got for Christmas this year, if you're comfortable in doing so. I certainly got plenty of games... - Zelda: Skyward Sword
- Epic Mickey
- Sonic Generations [3DS]
- The Sims 3 [3DS]
- Mario Kart 7 [3DS]
A few movies... along with the usual stocking of candy. I had also pointed out a copy of Megaman 64 in a book and music exchange that my dad bought me. Mainly for novelty. I doubt I'd ever see a copy of it ever again, so I figured why not? I also got close to 200 dollars, half of which came from my grandpa, the other half from relatives. Enough about me. Somebody else go.

This is a pretty common topic around this time. Puh-retty sure I made it once or twice, and I know at least a few people have in previous years. Anywho. From my grandparents, I got... a pair of ice skates. Just about everyone in my family did, actually. I don't know if there's some plan that we're all going ice skating at some point, or if there was an ice skate store that was going out of business and had a big-time sale going on, or what. As someone with terrible balance and feet that kind of twist the wrong way, I don't think I'll be getting any use out of them, unfortunately. From my other grandmother, I got a nifty Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-Shirt that came with a hat. It's kind of funny, because I got the same thing last year; not the exact same shirt and hat, but another Ninja Turtles combo. I have three of them now. So yeah. And my parents were extra specially generous. They got me a new computer: a handy dandy netbook, from which I'm typing this reply. This past semester, my school laptop finally broke down beyond repair after years of being in iffy shape. With the Spring semester around the corner, I was in need of a new one, and my dad found quite a good deal, so there you have it. I still feel really guilty about it, though. I am paying for nearly half of it myself as soon as I get my next job/paycheck, though, so that should make it almost a fair deal. Anyway, it's a really damn nice machine: 500 GB drive, 64-bit Dual Core/4GB RAM, Win7, a really great battery-life. (It lasted a whole family party and still had an hour's worth of juice!) And it's a little large for a netbook, but that's OK, because it's got an almost normal sized keyboard, which is something I need, because I do a lot of typing. So yeah. I'm loving it already. My cousin gave me a gift card for Best Buy; I'm not exactly sure why. I'm not complaining at all, but he didn't have to get me anything. I might put that toward a video game purchase, because it's kind of odd not to have received anything game-related this year— I'm thinking I'll either go for Mario Kart 7 or Sonic Generations for 3DS. EDIT: I went to the mall today and bought Sonic Generations for 3DS. I haven't gotten around to playing it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. And that's all. (Hah. “All.”) tl;dr - Ice Skates (lolwut)
- Ninja Turtles T-Shirt/Hat (cowabunga!)
- Netbook (omgsyay)
- Best Buy Gift Card (ok)

Christmas was actually not something I put a lot of focus on this year, which was more an accidental byproduct of my school/work schedule than anything else. As such, I got an odd assortment of items as presents; no surprise, but no complaints either. So anyway... The 'big thing' my parents got me this year was a GPS, something I really needed, as at least two certain members of this forum can attest to. :12: My mother in particular also got me some sort of Abba Wii game, which I'm pretty sure was more for her than me, as I've never been a big fan of that band. :23: Otherwise, it was the usual gift cards and money from the rest of the family. So in total... (Handy list function time!) - GPS
- Gamestop gift card
- Super Mario Bros. Super Show DVD
- Abba Wii game
- $20
- (Maybe something I forgot? Might hafta check.)
...Yeah, there you have it. : o

I was thinking about making a Christmas-based thread, but it looks like you beat me to it, Mikey. I got quite the variety of items this year; - New laptop. (I love it, but this newfangled Windows 7 is confusing me.)
- Resident Evil 4. (Walrus-scream galore!)
- Shaving-set. (What are you trying to imply, Santa...?)
- An abundance of pajamas. (I <3 pajamas.)
- €215
- Edit: Disgaea 4. (The sweetest gift I got for Christmas.)
Quite the fun day indeed.

I got:
Mario Kart 7 Super Mario 3D Land Sonic Adventure An extra Dreamcast controller. (Sega Sports edition to be exact, since it had a blue swirl on it instead of a red one,) Rayman 2:The Great Escape (the Dreamcast version.) a Retron 3 console (a console that plays NES SNES and Genesis games,) an adaptor for my Wii that allows me to play Gamecube controller compatable games with an NES, SNES, Genesis or N64 controller Sonic Generations (the Xbox 360 version,) New Super Mario Bros. Wii. and some Mario clothes and Coca-Cola pants.
I had a much better Christmas than I did Chanukah this year. Chanukah was kinda boring, (especialy since nobody showed up to my Chanukah Artwork Extraviganza thread,) but Cristmas was more fun. The presents were awesome, there were alot of TV specials on, I had buffalo steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and red cabbage for dinner, (buffalo meat is delicious by the way,) it was great. Most of 2011 was kind of a meh year for me, but December has done me well.

I got stuff, too. Like... - Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt's voice acting book
- A dagger (for "display purposes only." Ha. :22:)
- A DVD of Tom and Jerry shorts
- A bunch of T-shirts, including a School House Rock one
- LOTS OF AWESOME SOCKS
- Money
- A crock pot
- A flying pig ornament
My brother got that Skyward Sword game everyone's going crazy over, but I took one look at Zelda's haircut and dry heaved, so I don't think I'm going to be able to get through that one. Not seriously. Not that I play games seriously in the first place. It reminded me of one of my grandmother's old home movies from the sixties where my aunt was like seven or something and tried to cut her own hair and her bangs wound up waaaay too short. Way to go.

Oh just wait until you see Groose's hair. Even the main villain makes fun of that 'do. Anyways, it's a good game - I just finished it a few days ago. Give it a shot.
